Rejoining an XP workstation to a domain
Hello,
I have been trying to rejoin a computer to a newly remade PDC on the same domain name using Samba 2.2.7 on RedHat 9. I get this error message everytime I try:

Rejoining domain after cluster failover
Hello. We're having issues running Samba 2.2.8-a1, on Solaris 8 (SPARC) under Veritas VCS 3.5 clustering (HA active-passive).
Every time we have a cluster failover (we're testing), we have to re-join the domain [ADS not NT] (e.g., 'smbpasswd -j XYZ -r XYZPDC -UAdminRightsUser%password'). Otherwise, we cannot connect to the shares, and 'wbinfo -t' returns 'Secret is

Upgrading samba and OS - can I rejoin ?
Hi,
I want to upgrade samba 4.8.2 to samba 4.10.7. According to here:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Upgrading_a_Samba_AD_DC#Rejoining_the_upgraded_DC
best way is to rejoin the server after the upgrade.
But also I need to upgrade the OS, in my case it means a new installation from the OS,
because an upgrade is not possible, the old and the new version are to different.
Can I do this the

Replication issues after OS upgrade
Hi, I'm resending this to the list since I cannot see it on the archive,
for some reason...
I recently upgraded two (running stable) systems from Debian Wheezy to
Jessie. Samba version has not changed since on Wheezy I was using the one
from wheezy-backports (v4.1.17), same as on jessie.
These are 2 basic DCs without any additional config. Since the upgrade,

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hi Jake. Thanks for the info. Where can I keep up to date on the
symbolizer status?
Our symbolizer is provided by the Myriad vendor and integrated into its
host test environment. It doesn't do much: just look for PC string
patterns and symbolize them using addr2line.
Thanks,
Walter

Hey,
I work on fuchsia symbolizer stuff. I don't know if you guys already have
an external symbolizer but I'm working on making one right now and I plan
on making one backed by LLVM that can be run host-side or target-side. I'd
like to contribute that back to llvm ideally. What do you guys have so far?
I have a prototype in golang that just spins up an instance of
llvm-symbolizer

Rejoining domain with W2K
I have successfully installed Samba 2.2.7a as a PDC and has added the
"add user script" to automatically create machine accounts. This
worked very well when I added my client machine the first time. It
successfully joined the domain and I was able to login as a user.
I then removed the machine from the domain and put it in an unrelated
workgroup and then tried to re-join the Samba

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hi Kostya. Thanks for the quick feedback. I will work on addressing your
comments.
In regard to initialization checks, I can eliminate most of them by
initializing the shadow memory very early, but I still need to do something
in two places, __asan_handle_no_return and GetFakeStackFast. Would it be
ok to have guards for those two places only?

Unable to rejoin domain, LDAP error 50
I'm trying to use the same hostname.
The meta cleanup - I can't see the demoted controller in ADUC nor in Active Directory Sites and Services.
Shall I try via ntdsutil?

Kris

On RAM...
You chose the 32-byte shadow granularity to reduce the RAM overhead,
but I am afraid this will actually increase it due to extra alignment
requirements,
especially if an average allocation on your typical application is small.
The pointers are 32-bit, right?
Given how RAM-constrained your environment is, maybe you should consider
something more like HWASAN instead of ASAN.
