Looking at the Samba log I could see error so I decided to reset the Computer account and to rejoin Samba to AD again. Hello, I'm having a problem getting samba to work properly. domain level authentication?
I'm trying to set up a samba server, such that 60 or so win 98 users can log into the linux box and be plopped into their respective home directories on it. I don't want them to be promted for passwords, I want the PDC, an NT box, to take care that in such a wy that I do not need a smbpasswd file. I know almost nothing about NT, but the server running works just fine, and will let people

I'm trying to join a RHEL 5 client to a Windows 2008 R2 AD, I've tried both Samba 3.6.6 and 4.0.2. Unable to join domain: FAIDHC01SDCG0402
Hi. I am trying to configure Samba in Domain security mode. I am on a Sun box running Solaris 9 and Samba 3.0.23. A computer account for this Unix Box is configured in the AD Domain (FAFIDDOM) but I am having issues running net rpc join. I am not planning to use winbind as the samba shares that I want to create are going to be used by ClearCase (Rational Configuration Management Tool). ClearCase
