X-SAVEDATE & dync & doveadm expunge
Hello List, After moving the mail store via dsync backup to a different location the following command doveadm expunge -u user mailbox "Trash" savedbefore 10d deleted ALL mails in Trash instead of messages older than 10 days. It looks like X-SAVEDATE is somehow wrong... A fetch 1:* (internaldate x-savedate) * 1 FETCH (INTERNALDATE "28-Dec-2007 14:49:58 +0100" X-SAVEDATE

unexpected behaviour of search queries with mixed AND and OR
Hello, I found out an unexpected behaviour of search queries with mixed "AND" and "OR". With search query "\( condA OR condB condC \)" I get an error: Fatal: Use parenthesis when mixing ANDs and ORs if I switch left and right OR-part and use the query "\( condB condC OR condA \)" I get a result, but it is not the expected result of the query "\(

bug formatting results when using doveadm-server
Hello, I have a infrastructure using director in front of backend servers. So I normally run doveadm commands in director servers, not the backends. The problem I have is when I try to concatenate commands like this: doveadm search -S /var/run/dovecot/auth-userdb -u ${user} SAVEDSINCE 5w | while read guid uid; do doveadm fetch -S /var/run/dovecot/auth-userdb -u ${user} size.physical

doveadm backup -R -m -s not picking up a new message
Good morning, I use ?doveadm backup -R -m foo -s $state? to create a local mirror of an imapc remote folder. When I run that command, wait for it to finish, deliver a new message to the remote folder, and run that command again, the new message does not get downloaded from the remote. I'll attach the rawlog, doveconf, etc at the end. Allow me first to summarize what I've already

How to quote the special wildcard characters '*' and '?'
Hello, I am searching for a way to execute doveadm command against mailbox containing a special wildcard character in its name. For example: # doveadm expunge -u 'me?@example.com' mailbox 'INBOX.Junk Mail' SAVEDBEFORE 7 The result is: doveadm(root): Error: User listing returned failure doveadm: Error: Failed to iterate through some users with exit code 75 In the mail log:

Migrating from external server to Dovecot (doveadm sync issues)
Hi, I'm experiencing serious issues when using doveadm sync not working at all or do not properly sync. I wanted to use this for migrating external mailboxes to my server (in order to overcome the time when some servers/clients still use the old server and some already the my server). I tried to find a few steps in order to replicate this: For testing purposes I simulate both the remote and

Bug: Dovecot appending "MISSING_DOMAIN" to fetch envelope responses
Hi all, I'm seeing Dovecot include the string "MISSING_DOMAIN" in fetch envelope requests when an mailbox's `addr-spec` part does not have a `domain` part. For example: > C: a022 uid fetch 40 (envelope rfc822.header) > S: * 5 FETCH (UID 40 ENVELOPE ("Sat, 15 Aug 2020 12:53:05 +1000" > "test {{name}}" (("Michael Gratton" NIL

IMAP Get Savedate plugin
Hi, I want to add a feature to the fetch command in IMAP, by enabling it to return the save date, when I request the SAVEDATE parameter. I want to use this for my webmail application, so I can show the users the deleted date when they are viewing the Trash folder. I was able to put it directly into the code (patch attached), but I was wondering if there is a way to put it as a plugin instead.

mdbox expunge purge question
Hi, I'm testing Dovecot 2.0rc2 with mdbox mail format and I'm not sure what this exactly means: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/dbox Quote from wiki page: ===== Expunging a message only decreases the message's refcount. The space is later freed in "purge" step. This may be done automatically within the session or later in a nightly cronjob when there's less
