Prediction interval of Y using BMA
Hello everybody, In order to predict income for different time points, I fitted a linear model with polynomial effects using BMA (bicreg(...)). It works fine, the results are consistent with what we are looking for. Now, we would like to predict income for a future time point t_next and of course draw the prediction interval around the estimated value for this point t_next. I've found the

Auto logging-out client
Hi list! I'm writing because of an issue I'm having with my Postfix-Dovecot installation. Everything's working fine but when an IMAP client is idle for some time, Dovecot automatically logs it out. Jul 26 14:01:16 mail dovecot: imap(nicolas at devels.es): Disconnected: Logged out bytes=1271/7439 This entails errors when trying to send e-mails after this auto logout, such as:

How to use AD authentication for normal Samba file sharing
With help from kjhambrick at linuxquestions.org I did figure out how to authenticate from a Window domain member to a samba share using AD credentials. My smb.conf is listed below. I was able to map the share from Windows using domain credentials and create a file on the share. Here's my next challenge: All the UID.GIDs on the share (287G and +105K files) are currently the non-AD values of

hang on exit - bug or no bug?
The hang on exit has become quite an issue in my organization(Sun and HP hosts). I see this note in the changelog which indicates that there will not be a fix for this problem: 20001129 - (djm) Back out all the serverloop.c hacks. sshd will now hang again if there are background children with open fds. Also, I am aware of the workaround as noted in the FAQ. However this workaround is not

ls and getfacl hanging with nt authentication
I have Samba 3.0.2a running on Solaris 8 compiled with winbind and authenticating against an NT domain. every time I run a "ls -l" or "getfacl" the command line hangs as it's tries to pull down all the user/group details from the domain. I heard this may have something to do with nscd (nameservice cache daemon?) which is running on the solaris machine. Any thoughts

Proxy GSSAPI + PLAIN authentication
Hi, I try to configure a proxy accepting GSSAPI and PLAIN authentication. When authenticating with Kerberos, Dovecot uses master user and password to authenticate to backends (backends can be Cyrus or Exchange servers too) When authenticating with PLAIN passwords, Dovecot sends user's login and password to the backend. For GSSAPI, I use extrafields : k5principals=principal at REALM proxy=Y

Authentication and the wrong mailbox?
I just migrated from UW-imap to dovecot last night. After some tweaking of the dovecot.conf file, disabling xinetd's entries, firing up the dovecot daemon, and copying the .mailboxlist to .subscriptions for all users, things looked to be going just fine! I received a call this morning from a user stating that they had all of *my* emails in *their* inbox! They don't know when it

Samba authentication to Kerberos via OpenLDAP, third and last try
So far answers I've received on this list have been inconsistent at best and downright inaccurate at worst. I'm going to try one more time and see if, at the very least, someone can give me a lead. I ask you to consider what I'm asking remotely possible, and then seek a solution. (Particularly before one blasts off an ill-thought out message that says simple, "Can't be
