Is it possible to install more than 1 asterisk in a single server?
If yes, what do I need to set and take care?

LMTP/Sieve/sendmail path
Hello,
I have a system using postfix multi instance feature.
The first, main postfix-instance is a nullclient as suggested by
http://www.postfix.org/MULTI_INSTANCE_README.html#split
The second instance is for real use. Postfix receive mail and handover them
to the dovecot lmtp server.
Thats working.
The lmtp server supports sieve. One account has activated a vacation rule.
So while delivering

making a second version of R
Hi R People:
I currently have a version on R on a Debian squeeze Linux machine,
which I obtained via "apt-get instal...."
Now I would like to have a second installation of R (for a small
experiment) that I compile myself from the tar file. I'm going to
delete it as soon as the experiment fails, which I think it will.
But anyway, I'm trying to compile this from scratch. The

Glassfish custom provider and 'file does not exist'
Hi there,
I''m trying to setup Glassfish config management using puppet.
I''ve found larstobi''s module here
<https://github.com/larstobi/puppet-glassfish/>which I''ve cloned and am
starting to tweak, as it would appear that the mentioned module is based on
Solaris, therefore I''m starting to add support for EL. My code tree is

what about kinial ?
Hi,
I was looking for a solution to change the value of a variable using
include (http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/
CommonMisconceptions), and found an interesting solution on the kinial
SPEC (http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/KinialSpec). But I
can''t find more about this project ?
iClassify derives from this spec, but the interesting part
(inheritance) is not supported.

Dovecot 2.1 stable packages for Debian?
Hello all,
it is strange, but Dovecot 2.x still didn't make it into Debian (not
even backports). It exists in testing, but that's still a long wait.
OTOH there are official packages built every day (referenced from the
download page). This puzzles me: why isn't there a build created from
each stable, released version of Dovecot, so that users of Debian
Stable could benefit from the new

dovecot 1.2 and logging start failures
Hi,
I've got report about issue when dovecot fails to start and there is no error
logged (error goes only to stderr)
situation:
1) dovecot is running
2) dovecot is automatically updated to new version (by yum update daemon),
after update, dovecot is restarted (it's part of update script)
3) new dovecot fails to start (for whatever reason)
result:
dovecot not running and no error

1.1.2 segfaults when using passdb passwd and md5 mechanism
Setting passdb to passwd and enabling cram-md5 or digest-md5 makes
dovecot crash.
The documentation says that I can use md5 with passwd. I had to use
strace to figure it, because dovecot segfaults and doesn't log the
error.
Using CenOS 5.2 x86_64

Miguel

Dovecot 2.3.6 on Solaris10: build issues, segfaults
Hopefully, there is some fix for issue 3 which is beyond my
skill to fix.
Issue 1) Need recent gcc version
Building Dovecot versions <=2.2.x using gcc 3.4.4 worked,
but this gcc version fails to build 2.3.x properly: symptoms
include compile failures and executable crashes that depended
on the amount of optimization used, which is usually a sign of
compiler bugs. (It could also be

build postfix rpm with mysql
hello list,
I'm trying to build a postfix rpm that has mysql support included.
I've found the line where I need to define mysql support but it seems
that I am being tripped up by some build dependencies:
[root at beta SPECS]# rpmbuild -ba postfix.spec
error: Failed build dependencies:
MySQL-shared is needed by postfix-2.9.1-1.rhel5.x86_64
MySQL-devel is needed by

build postfix spec w/ mysql
hello list!
I am attempting to build an rpm of postfix that includes support for mysql. I've done this before with earlier versions on postfix but I am staring at this spec file until my eyes bleed and I just don't see why when I build the spec with rpmbuild mysql support isn't there.
After I install the rpm I have a look at the modules as such:
ldd $(which postfix) | grep -i

gzip compression throttles system?
I just had a quick play with gzip compression on a filesystem and the
result was the machine grinding to a halt while copying some large
(.wav) files to it from another filesystem in the same pool.
The system became very unresponsive, taking several seconds to echo
keystrokes. The box is a maxed out AMD QuadFX, so it should have plenty
of grunt for this.
Comments?
