Trouble getting public folders working
Hi i have trouble getting my public folders working properly. I have a
few issues atm with them.
First off i'm using version 2.0.9 as it came with CentOS and would
greatly prefer to keep this version.
Here is my dovecot.conf file
# dovecot -n

syncing from the "file-list" option
Hello, all.
I'm a begineer for rsync and please help me.
I would like to sync data between two ftp sevrer.
If one change/add/delete data usingf ftp, other ftp server should sync from
the main ftp servert.
In my thought, full data directory syncing is too slow, so if the client
uses " --files-from" option, sync speed more fast than full data directory
syncing.

Routing fails for files under public without file extensions
All,
Rails 1.1.2
Windows XP Pro
Ruby 1.8.4
I have a scenario where my app. needs to request files from my public
directory. The app. writes certain files into my public directory and
depending on circumstances, these files may or may not have file
extensions.
I am unable to successfully retrieve an image file (a GIF) from anywhere
in my public directory unless the file ends with

Per-user flags for shared folders
As I see in 2.0 there willn't be ability to control which flags should be
shared, and which should be per-user. But may be there is some plans to
implement settings to control that?
It'll be great if you can write in dovecot-shared file which flags should be
per-user. It's very usefull for group mailboxes, when each user should work

I just updated to the latest RSpec 1.1.3 + ZenTest 3.9.1.
I also have rspec 1.1.3 installed as a gem
When starting autotest with -v option, there is a lot of noise because
autotest does not ignore the vendor folder, the migrations, etc ...:

amd 920824upl102 ignores the nodev option
amd from the amd-920824upl102-6.i386.rpm file distributed with RedHat
Linux 4.1 does not honor the nodev option for NFS filesystems and probably
other mount types, allowing any user access to the device files in /dev on
a system, provided that they have root access to another linux box on the
network. In addition, the default amd.conf from RH 4.1 maps /net/* to NFS

public folders aren't public
I'm testing dovecot as a replacement for an aging UW-IMAP server. I
have the basic IMAP setup working but I'm stuck on public folders (which
my users are addicted to). I set up public folders generally a described
in the wiki. The problem is that when a user creates a new public
folder, the folder is owned by the user with permissions drwx------

The listing of my wine-c (c:\) directory.
The listing of my config file in the \.wine directory in the users directory

Sweave choking on \\ in filename
Dear all,
Sweave chokes when using "\\" in the path to the Rnw file. Using "/"
works fine. The problem is that Eclipse+StatET uses "\\" in the
filename.
And example of the error, traceback and sessionInfo are given below.

smbclient tar problem
Hello all.
I'm using Samba 2.0.7 on Linux, and I've been having a problem I can't
figure out. I was backing up a coworker's machine using the smbclient
tar capability. He's got Win2k. I was looking at the tar file that was
generated, and in some of the deeply nested directories, I'd get stuff
like this:

Quota less mailbox with mdbox

Problem with installing/running domU OS on HVM machine
Hi,
I have problem installing or running domU OS (Windows XP or Redhat 7.3).
The machine runs CentOS 4.4 X86_64, Xen-3.0.3. Paravirtual domU works
without problem.
The problem is that when I run command "xm create <config>", nothing
would happen. hvmloader does not seem get started at all. I''ve tried
installing both 64bit and 32bit vnc, sdl but did not see any

authenticate users in public folders
I''m using the standard login generator to authenticate users in my rails
app, which is an extranet type of thing.
I want to be able to upload some work in progress into a designated
project folder, and allow only authenticated users to view those files
(it might be a standalone website sitting in its own folder with a 100
pages, or a bunch of other src files etc)
