Wrong version of php
It's been a while since I updated to php72 on this machine and there is some setting I must have forgotten. Apache, root and a user automatically get php72 when I run php in a terminal window, however, a php script picks up the wrong version of php, ie php54 and the version of php in /usr/bin/php is indeed version 5.4.
I have googled without finding the answer but how do I make sure /all/

Sweave Makefile issue
Dear R-specialists,
I am trying to create a Makefile that will first convert all my .Rnw
files into .tex files and then, that will run the LaTeX compiler to
produce a pdf document. This issue has been discussed before. Hence,
I've basically adapted a Makefile I found at
http://n4.nabble.com/R-Sweave-R-and-complex-latex-projects-td810020.html#a810023
to make it compatible with a Windows

CVE-2019-0211 httpd24 / EL6
It seems that httpd24-httpd from SCL is affected by CVE-2019-0211 [1].
Does the SIG has plans to update these rpms for EL6?

RedHat SCL. Who maintains rh-php72?
Hi,
I realized this still uses php 7.2.10, while 7.2.20 was released almost
two weeks ago.
How are these packages updated? Who does that?
Any idea how to get the update in?
Regards

Writing my first CRAN vignette
In fact my first vignette full stop.
I am intending to use Sweave. I have read the Sweave documentation
and section 1.4 of the extensions manual and apart from (a) do not
use split = TRUE (b) and include all the source components, there
does not seem to be anything CRAN specific.
1 - Am I missing some other documentation?
2 - If I use a package from CTAN would that be considered within the

EPEL repo problem
This keeps logging:
Could not get metalink
https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-7&arch=x86_64 error was
14: HTTPS Error 503 - Service Unavailable
I've removed the epel-release package, done a "yum clean all", then
reinstalled it, but still get the same error.

ISOLINUX help requested (checksum error)
Hi Mr Anvin,
after downloading the Freedos bootable cd, which now uses your projects
(ISOLINUX & MEMDISK) instead of Bart Lagerweij's DISKEMU (www.nu2.nu), I
contacted the creator of the freedos cdrom. I was interested in how he did
make that cd bootable.
Now I understand it a bit.
As I'm a MS Windows user, I had to figure some things out.
However, upon booting I get a beautiful

ok, I've installed php54-1.1-5.el6.centos.alt.x86_64 ... if I run

More elegant magnitude method
I have a need to find the order of number to get a scaling parameter as a
power of 10. I have a function that works *so far*, but it is ugly and
probably buggy. In the interest of avoiding code-based outliers in my
data, I thought I would ask if anyone here has a better way.

SCL MirrorList error
Hi,
In the past my mirrorlist for SCL,
http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=SCL has
worked without any issues.
Recently http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=SCL
redirects to http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/scl/x86_64/ which leads
to 404, instead it should be
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/x86_64/
Is this a change or bug.
Thanks,
