similar to: x2go - F20 to Centos 7

Has anyone managed to get the x2go server working on CentOS 6.7? I started testing x2go from EPEL under 6.6, and it worked well. Then I didn't use it in 6 months plus, eventually upgraded the machine to 6.7, and it's no longer working. Both Windows and Linux clients error out with "Connection failed. 0: Event not found." A Linux client run with the debug option reports:

Folks I have been unable to get X2go to work on a Centos 7 server. I have tried both the out-of-the-box GNOME desktop and the Xfce as well. In both cases, the view from the client is that the screen starts to appear, then goes away. Is anyone using x2go on Centos - and if so, is there any reason to think about switching from freenx? The old NX client for mac was a powerpc binary and is no longer supported under mountain lion - and their new alpha release crashed my mac after an OSX update so I'm curious if there is anything better around. (And I didn't like the way the new mac version changed the screen scaling

I've just installed centos 6.3 for the first time on a test machine and couldn't be happier - except that a critical wireless adapter driver is missing - the r8712u. I would love to convert my mythtv machine from Fedora 17 to centos 6.3 to put all that chaos and instability behind me.
