docs update suggestions for docker and related packages
What's the best place to update the docs/howto for docker and related
packages on centos?
Could I add to http://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/Docker?highlight=(docker) or
is this for the rhel-recompiled docker? Also, what about docker-registry?
Does that need a new page?

I wonder if we can find a way to make the "Edit this page on GitHub"
more obvious then?
Because I agree, the [edit] link on

Notice: Check your tuned settings for a performance boost.
Last week we noticed that the default scheduler isn't being set properly
in CentOS 7. I haven't checked this for CentOS 6, but it might be worth
exploring.
The TL;DR is unless you're running CentOS 7 on a laptop or as a virtual
guest, you should probably run 'tuned-adm profile throughput-performance'

VPN connection before login
I imagine something like Cisco AnyConnect on Windows, where you can connect before login to the machine. So afterwards user specific network shares are available and can be connect via scripts.
I have an openvpn server running.

A request for help managing wiki permissions
Long story short, the core team doesn't need to be in the business of
micro-managing wiki permissions. We've not been that good at it during
the best of times, and as the 6.6 build process is showing we've clearly
let some stuff slip without following up on it appropriately here.
What I'd propose is that 3-4 people who have been around the
distribution a while (perhaps John

docker image updates for CentOS
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
We've been working with the docker community to get official CentOS
images into the index. We've now got CentOS 6.5 (as of 12 april) into
the index, and we'll be keeping things updated as we go forward. The
structure looks a bit like this:
centos:latest = The most recent build of the most recent major release.
centos:centos6 = the most

Kickstart with multiple eth devices
Starting back in RHEL/Cent 5 I found that the only way to make sure your
interface enumeration was consistent after install with what you had
during install was to create a udev rules file using the mac addresses as
the key. It is easy to run a short script in postinstall to create it
based on how anaconda has seen them.
In order for this to work on Cent 6 you have to set biosdevname=0

Hi all,
is there a possibility to connect to a VPN manually before login on CentOS desktop (Gnome). I know of a similar functionality in Windows.
Is there a tutorial or something?

centos docker which repo (centos or docker)
Hallo,
I planning to migrate ouch dockerfarm from debian to centos.
Most of our customers are using redhat or centos and some oft eh books I m using are written for centos too.
My question:
Should I use docker from the standard repo or the version from the docker-repo?
Thanks for hints

kpatch (live kernel patching) in CentOS 7.7?
Forgive me if this has been answered before and I've missed it.
This https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2206511 says live kernel patches
will be available via yum updates as of RHEL 7.7. Is this carried over to
CentOS 7.7.1908?

[CentOS-devel] docker and docker-latest packages on CentOS Virt SIG
Moving this discussion to centos-virt@ as it's upto the SIG to decide on
how this moves ahead.
I'm hoping to have 2 new koji tag sets:
virt7-docker-fedora-* (will have fedora rpms rebuilt)
virt7-docker-el-* (will have rhel candidate builds before they are released
or land in centos extras)
The -el-* repos will help to have Virt SIG as sort of an upstream and early QA
for both RHEL and
