yum and yumex change system time
greetings, each and every time i run yum or yumex, system time is advanced by 5 hours. this has gone on thru several updates, maybe even upgrades. centos = 6.6 current yum = 3.2.29 yumex = 3.0.5 for awhile, i did not mind resetting clock when i noticed it off. now, it is a pita because when i forget, emails and what ever else i am doing get wrong time stamps. i have searched for

greetings. on tower box, yumex errs out on startup with error message; Error in repository setup Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base You can try starting 'yumex -n' from a command line and deselecting the repositories causing problems and try again. file CentOS-Base.repo is line for line same on both tower box and laptop. no problems on laptop. what might be causing

wicd problem 3: wicd blocking 1st attempt connection for firefox and yumex

problem restoring ssl and vlc

[OT] security bug with firefox and add-on
greets. tho this is off-topic for this list, it is still a bug that centos users along with all users of firefox should be aware of. due to nature of bug and what is involved, i believe it safer to not go into great details in an open list. never know which 'hats' are subscribed to support list. :-D so my question is just who should i inform of problem? mozilla.org? author of add-on?

webcam program for continuous recording.
greetings, i have run into same problem as a friend who bought a logitech c310 webcam. he told me about them being on sale, so i decided to buy one also. the 2 webcam programs that i have installed from repos are 'camorama' and 'cheese'. both work well for single photos, but i can not get 'cheese' to make smooth, continuous video recording. what is recorded is a jerky
