needs-restarting: one server reports nothing te restart (after updating openssl) C6.5
Hi,
After updating openssl on most of my C6.5-servers needs-restarting reports at least sshd, ntpd and sendmail.
But on 1 server needs-restarting reports nothing. And yes, sshd, ntpd and sendmail are running.
All yum-utils are latest yum-utils-1.1.30-17.el6_5.noarch.

C6.5 - combine two DVD isos into one tree?
I have the two DVD isos for CentOS 6.5 mounted as loopback, on the mount
points /centos6 and /centos6a, and am trying to use them for PXE/KS
installation.
The problem I have is that the packages in /centos6a/Packages are not
found by the installer.
The host is a CentOS 5 system. Is there a way for me to overlay the second
DVD on the first without having to copy all the packages from both isos

Anyone has experience with OpenVAS and the Atomicorp repository
I was looking for a vulnerability scanner and found OpenVAS. Does anyone has experiences with that scanner?
And with the Atomicorp repository? (the OpenVAS website refers to that repo)
Thanks

USB-3.0 on C6.5 ??
Just wondering if there are any known issues with USB 3.0 storage devices
in Centos 6.5??
I just got one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817332028
it does either esata or USB 3.0. My new motherboard (ASUS M5A99X EVO
R2.0) supports both, so I've tried both (of course, can't have a feature
without at least giving it a whirl! :)). esata seems to work fine,

What happens to in-use files when I restart samba?
One of the services that has to be restarted after the openssl update is samba.
And now I wonder if I can safely restart samba when there are possible files in-use (ie writes could be happening).
I can't find an answer on Google (could be me asking the wrong questions)
Thanks for any pointers

I've had mixed results in the past with needs-restarting; some hosts didn't report anything even if there were updates that needed a service to restart.

6.5 live migration speed
hello,
while upgrading a kvm virtualization cluster from c6.4 to c6.5
and i am no longer able to control the migration speed.
in c6.4 the default speed was the maximum bandwidth (1g in my case)
and the actual migration speed was about 100MB/s.
now in c6.5 the actual migration speed dropped down to about
25MB/s - 50MB/s, it varies and sometimes during migration of
huge machines (36GB) i was at
