CentOS update broke Samba
Running CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908. Have Samba running as our fileserver on our (mostly) Windows network. Ran my "normal" yum updates today, and Samba was upgraded (last updates were on 8/10/2019). I was on 4.8.3 before; now it's 4.9.1: Updated samba-4.8.3-6.el7_6.x86_64 @updates Updated samba-client-4.8.3-6.el7_6.x86_64

iproute2 ping question
Hi List, New subscriber/lartc user here. Have read the entire lar&tc howto, alexy''s ip_cref, etc. and must say, this makes iptables seem downright *easy*. I''m trying to build a three-legged linux router (WAN/LAN/DMZ) and have had it more or less working with iptables but would like to learn layer2 routing with iproute2. I have an adsl/29 network and would like my

SIP load is 70.8-3-3SR2S 2. config works fine if 7970 is connecting to an asterisk server a local LAN (same subnet) 3. when debugging it in a NAT'd environment I see the register and

Bind_DLZ krb errors @ startup.
Hi, I have 2 self compiled samba 4 DCs running 4.7.7 on Centos 7.5. One of them is operating normally. On the other DC bind will not start. I turned up debugging on dlz_bind as per https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End#Debugging_the_BIND9_DLZ_Module When I try to start named I get the following in the logs: May 10 13:19:44 vdc2 named[23773]: starting BIND

It looks like you're trying to add the second IP on an aliased interface, something that you used to have to do in older releases of CentOS. In C7, you just add

2 devices same *actual* extension - can it be done
Hello, My company has invested heavily in Counterpath?s Stretto provisioning platform for Mobile and Desktop VoIP clients . At this time their system allows 2 devices (for example iPhone + desktop computer) using the same software license per user , which many of our users require. Their provisioning system assumes that both devices will use the same SIP extension for auth however. Normally

samba 4.9.5 - joining Samba DC to existing Samba AD failed
Hi Tim and Rowland, thanks for Your support! I was thinking about e.g. Python 2.7.15 compatibility (as newer Samba versions require Python3), but You are right, here in DB can be problem - first Samba AD DC was created by migrating Samba3 NT4 domain to Samba4 AD cca week ago (using 'samba-tool domain classicupgrade ...', according to Samba Wiki): On Tue, 26 Mar 2019 10:14:02 +1300 Tim

Sip from ip address
Is there a way to specify which IP address to originate calls from in a peer on sip.conf? I need to send calls from 10.1.3.10 which is a routed network through openvpn, but it's using 10.39.0.10 which is a vpn IP address - the asterisk box is the same box as the vpn bridge for the 10.1.3.0/24 network. I can't set the host as 10.39.x.x as it is dynamic. i can't change bindaddr since i
