'template shell' samba parameter
Hi,
As part of the bash 'shellshock' bug / vulnerability in unix/linux
environments i would like to know
whether the use of the samba parameter 'template shell' in my product may
cause my product to be vulnerable to the shellshock bug , since this
'template shell' parameter , as per my understanding allows to open a
remote bash session used by external users.
I would

URGENT! Shellshock fix DOES NOT fix the bug on CentOS 5.4
Good afternoon!
After applying the latest bash RPM listed at
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2014-September/020594.html :
The fixed RPM (bash-3.2-33.el5_10.4.x86_64.rpm) DOES work just fine on
CentOS 5.10. However, it DOES NOT work on CentOS 5.4. That is, bash runs
fine, but IS STILL VULNERABLE TO SHELLSHOCK!

New AstLinux Branch: RT PREEMPT ("realtime" Linux) - Looking for testers
Hello everyone,
Now that astlinux-trunk has been coming along very nicely, I thought
I would try to add support for hard realtime capabilities to AstLinux.
If everything works (and there are no problems with zaptel), with a
little tweaking this should improve the audio quality on systems with
high loads (and probably any system at that) - especially if it is
finely tuned and has zaptel

AstLinux 0.2.8 released
Hello everyone,
I have just finished up work on a new release of AstLinux, the
embedded/live cd/minimal built from scratch Linux distro centered around
Asterisk.
Most of the work for 0.2.8 has been on the ISO image (live/install cd),
the init system and further system customization with new rc.conf variables.
- The ISO image now allows you to install AstLinux to a local disk/CF
card,

Asterisk + AstLinux testing images now available
Hello everyone,
A few days ago on *-dev I proposed the idea of making AstLinux images
on a routine basis as a test platform for Asterisk. The ultimate goal
is to have a web driven interface (accessible to the public) where users
can download the latest and greatest versions of Asterisk (HEAD, STABLE,
and recently 1.2.0-beta*), apply optional patches from Mantis (or
elsewhere), compile

AstLinux 0.6.4 available for upgrade

All users of AstLinux are encouraged to upgrade since this release
fixes the recently reported security vulnerability in Asterisk 1.4.23.1
Right now a mix up on the Sourceforge site is preventing us from
uploading full install versions, but current users of 0.6.2 or 0.6.3 can
upgrade to 0.6.4 by using either the

Bash still vulnerable
According to the vulnerability test script from shellshocker.net, the latest
bash versions on CentOS5 and CentOS6, 3.2-33.el5_11.4 and 4.1.2-15.el6_5.2,
resp., are still vulnerable to CVE-2014-6277. In fact, on CentOS6, abrtd will
send you a nice report about it. Does anyone know if upstream is working on a
fix?

Re: [Astlinux-users] British English Female files ready for download
Mark,
While these samples are pretty good they do not work "out of the box" -
there are a couple of issues:
1. the samples are 44100 samples/second and Asterisk needs them to
be at 8000 samples/second. This is what happens if you prune out all of
the Amercian voicemail prompts and substitute yours:
Asterisk 1.2.7, Copyright (C) 1999 - 2006 Digium, Inc. and others.

Module wcfxs - is it not part of astlinux?
Hello
I am (attempting) to run the astlinux version of Asterisk on a VIA embedded
platform. I have a TDM04B and pretty sure zaptel.conf and zapata.conf setup
OK. They worked fine with same card in traditional PC anyway.
I think need the module wcfxs for a Digium TDM04B card. Is this module not
part
of astlinux? Do I need to download it? Or is it in opt? I see wctdm - but
think that is
