Different callerid for different extensions
Hi,
I have small confusion in my configuration which is I had some DID's like
044578900-04457999. I was configured dial plan below mention.
exten => _0XXXXXXXXX,1,NoOp(Int exten:${CALLERID(num)})
exten => _0XXXXXXXXX,2,Set(outgoing_ident=0445789${CALLERID(num):-2})
exten => _0XXXXXXXXX,3,NoOp(Ext ident:${outgoing_ident})

CallerID issue
Hi List,
I am making outgoing call from asterisk to GSM network with the help of VoIP
trunk(SIP trunk) then I am not geting any caller ID at destination end. Is
this the asterisk issue or VoIP trunk issue?
Is this is due to asterisk then how we solve it? I already user
Set(CALLERID(num)=XXXXXXXXXXX) in dialplan.

OUTBOUND CALLER ID
Hi,
THIS IS IN DUBAI.
I am having PRI line with 100 DID's (00-99) and when we call to any landline
or mobile number then it shows us our board number or pilot number (i.e
4663000 means 00).. As i give all the extensions a particular DID, so people
from outside world can call them. The problem is the CALLERID ... When we
call from any of other extension PSTN line carries out our pilot number

Stopping putgoing calls after working hours
Dear All,
I am trying to find a way to stop people who use phones after business
hours (a policy the company wants to implement), we have cisco 7940 and
7910 phones and sadly they don't have a phone lock password system (on
these ciscos it locks config menu changes but not the calls but the
cisco 7920 has this feauture).
So I was wondering is there a way to make this happen in asterisk??

Asterisk pin code for out-going international calls (safeguard against fraud)
Hello All,
I will like to configure Asterisk to use PIN Code for all outgoing
international calls.
Also, any suggestions as to when should I prompt users for code prior to
dialing the number or after dialing the number?
can someone provide with a example on how to accomplish this goal? I am
a bit confuse by this :

The Authenticate application will do this for you.

You can either give it a single PIN to use for all calls, Authenticate
using a value in the Asterisk Database, Or use a plain text file for the
PIN's

ENUM lookup
Hi All,
For a 1.4 version asterisk, whats the recommended mechanism for dialling
with ENUM lookup? At the moment I user SIPbroker, but am getting tired
of it hanging on certain numbers, so I was thinking about implementing
it myself.

Qwest PRIs
Hi,
I'm trying to bring up two PRIs from qwest with asterisk and dahdi. I'm
using an OpenVox D410E and the drivers are loaded. My system.conf looks
like this:

Transfer Fraud
Is there a general recipe to avoid fraudulent calls under the following conditions?
A receptionist transfers calls as a callee (customers are calling) and as a caller (boss asks to
call and then transfer to him), i.e. the Dial cmd for the internal context contains "Tt". Then

Is GoVarion a fraud ???
Hi,
Some days ago I spent about US$700,00 in a Tormenta III board in
www.govarion.com. I used credit card.
I didn't receive any answer for my emails and there is no telephone number
to contact them..
Now, I'd like to cancel this order, because I couldn?t wait so long, and my
credit card was billed.
Is www.govarion.com a fraud ???? Does anybody know something about them ??

Toll fraud detection/password script
So I was bored yesterday and tried solving a few
problems with one stone:
1) Notify me of potential brute forcers (multiple attempts
to register multiple numbers from one address)
2) Notify me of (l)users who are having password issues
So I whipped up a simple script to run in cron and
notify me that UserX from X_IP_Space had X amout of
password issues. I'm currently running this from

groupcount fraud problem
hi,
i have strange problem with call-limit/groupcount limiting. i set up
limit of 2 calls.
i'm using both methods but a for few times i have problem with
successfull fraud with more calls than 2
asterisk is 1.8.22
someone with the same problem?
any ideas how to solve or debug this problem?

I?ve seen the following exploits of Asterisk / FreePBX boxes:
1) Default PlcmSpIp username and password for Polycom provisioning
2) Insecure SIP usernames and secrets
3) FreePBX GUI accessable from the internet
4) OS remote exploit (maybe ssh/ssl exploit)
Mitigation options:
1) Don?t use an easy to guess or default password on provisioning servers.
2) Use secure secrets. Users never

It's very unlikely that this was an employee calling Mom for 66 hours (I'm
assuming these calls appeared on a single bill). It's also unlikely that
someone "inside" would benefit financially from making these calls. (Follow
the money!) Don't discount the possibility that you've overlooked something
