samba4 replication issues | sam.ldb inconsistency
Hi all, We seem to have some issues with our samba4 ad setup. I posted about this last week already but had received no replies at all so far. :-( What is our situation: two domain controllers (dc1 and dc2), one (separate) fileserver, all running sernet-4.1.7. From the workstations perspective, everything is running as it should, there appear to be no issues. However: something in my

Samba4 AD returning incomplete results, can't edit much, and unable to reindex sam.ldb
Not sure if this is best sent to samba or samba-technical. If an admin thinks this is best sent to technical, let me know and I'll resend it there. Hi all, Well I've managed to land myself in a bit of a heap. I've been successfully running Samba4 at two schools I administer as well as my home test network, starting with alpha17 and now on beta8. Group Policy works a charm. But

Issues joining DC
Dear all. Let me make a shot brief of the issue I'm currently experiencing that has been published in a couple of threads. Now I'm going to join them here. Current scenario. Centos7 running a Samba 4.6.5. Any kind of problem at client side, all seems to runs fine. But in some cases the AD objects appears on Windows clients as their SID instead of their name. Hardening Apache on CentOS 7
Hi, Some time ago one of my public servers (running Slackware64 14.0) got attacked and was misused to send phishing emails. This misadventure made me more concerned about security, so I spent the last few weeks catching up on security, reading docs about SELinux and how to use it, etc. I have a public sandbox server running CentOS 7, and I'm currently experimenting quite a lot with Apache

Squid and HTTPS interception on CentOS 7 ?
Hi, I've been running Squid successfully on CentOS 7 (and before that on 6 and 5), and it's always been running nicely. I've been using it mostly as a transparent proxy filter in school networks. So far, I've only been able to filter HTTP. Do any of you do transparent HTTPS filtering ? Any suggestions, advice, caveats, do's and don'ts ? Cheers from the snowy South of

DomainDnsZones bad magic
I've been called back to an old workplace to try to help with some issues that they have and have found that the DomainDnsZones database is not replicating. Everything else in the replication seems to be fine. I ran a samba-tool dbcheck on the affected server and it returns: ltdb: tdb(/var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb.d/DC=DOMAINDNSZONES,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=MYCOMPANY.ldb): tdb_rec_read bad magic

Bayonne and Asterisk
All, is anyone using Bayonne in conjunction with Asterisk? I'm currently using only Bayonne, but I'm investigating the possibilities of switching the telephony frontend over to Asterisk, and have Asterisk route the IVR tasks to Bayonne through H323. Anyone care to share his views on this approach? Any pointers or do's and don'ts? All info is greatly appreciated! Regards,
