Failed to find domain 'NT AUTHORITY'
Hello,
I recently set up a new software to backup samba share.
This software ( https://github.com/borgbackup/borg ) run on file server as
root cron script during the night and save file on external NAS.
The problem I have is that for each file copied from
samba share to external NAS, winbindd log an error
such this to samba.log.winbindd and /var/log/messages

FW: [Bug 11241] different ids even when idmap.ldb copied. not abug..
Please read the reported bug and bjorn answer.. which does not help any to a solution of fix, or explenation.
But the big question now is, does someone somewhere know what bjorn is talking about.
i did search for "gencache" but no go here..
just from old documentation.

Sysvol replication problem
Hello fellow Samba users,
I have a question that is related to sysvol replication. I have for now
two Samba DC's that are functioning as DNS and Active Directory roles in
my network.
As samba for now does not support sysvol replication, I am replicating
sysvol shares via rsync with -XAavz attributes as suggested in samba wiki.
The issue is that getfacl on these two servers return

Samba 4.5.3 AD DC - issues with sysvol when setting up Group Policies
Hi Andrew,
thanks so much for the feedback.
Yes, you're 100% right. I'm new at this and originally changed the default GPO, however subsequently reset the default and created a new GPO. (so this getfacl output is post creation of a new GPO)
The getfacl output is shown here:
# getfacl /usr/local/samba/var/locks/sysvol/mydomain.com/Policies/{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}

problem with user defined panel function in xyplot
Hi everyone,
?
I am trying to do a horizonplot using my own time series
data. I know that there is a horizonplot function in latticeExtra, but on
closer examination i think that the graph itself is slightly wrong (it displays
some regions as triangles and i think they should be trapezoids, and the red
regions (that are below the baseline) are displayed on top of the blue areas ?

Samba 4.5.3 AD DC - issues with sysvol when setting up Group Policies
Also, I'm not sure whether this has any relevance to the problem but I did at one point try to set up a secondary AD server but was struggling to get it going so demoted it using "Demote an Offline Domain Controller" from this page
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Demote_a_Samba_AD_DC
I also went through the "Verifying the Demotion" checks on this page and all looked

errors restoring samba
Hi Rowland,
I've decided to roll back samba on DC1 to the state from a couple of
weeks ago, before I started all this mess...
Since the email subject change :)
Stopped bind9 and sernet-samba-ad and copied /var/lib/samba aside.
Restored samba folder from backup, started sernet-samba-ad but bind9
fails to start:

Samba4, idmap.ldb & ID_TYPE_BOTH
OK, there is a discussion over on samba-technical about nss_winbind and
the question about Administrator being mapped to 0 was raised. Now I
have always thought that it should, but in fairness, I decided to see
what happens when it isn't, so I removed Administrator from idmap.ldb
and restarted samba. Before restarting samba, I checked a few things, on
the DC, getfacl returned this for

Hai,
Ok, i expected a bit different outputs.
On my DC, i use /home/samba/sysvol and /home/samba/netlogon.
This is what i expected.
