Permission to disk set wrong when restoring from memory snapshot?
Hi all,
Passing on Bug 1840609 <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1840609>
- Wake up from hibernation failed:internal error: unable to execute QEMU
command 'cont': Failed to get "write" lock.
In Ovirt/RHV there is a specific flow that prevents the VM from starting on
the first host.
The result is:

Re: Subscription state after reload (New subject)
Actually, I have tested this here with an Aastra 9133i and an Asterisk@Home server, and the 9133i will re-subscribe on its own after an Asterisk reboot, if you wait long enough. It took on the order of an hour to do so. Of course, a phone reboot will get it done faster, if necessary, but it _will_ eventually re-subscribe on its own.

Openldap + Samba 3 PDC
I'm trying to get Samba up but I can't seem to get the LDAP connection
working correctly. I can run a search from ldapsearch, but samba is
complaining that it can't connect.
Here's the error from log.smbd

Authentication problems
Hi there, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and wonder if anyone can help.
Over the weekend I bought a new dedicated server and moved my mail/web over
to it. I'd used the Sarge[1] tutorial at workaround.org for the old server
and as I'd wanted to move to Dovecot for a while I decided to use their
Etch[2] tutorial for the new one. For the most part everything's working
nicely, but I seem

BLF not working after reload
Hi there,
I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i
with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all
configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to
until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then
neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone.
It continues

Hi,
in the introduction to R, you can find the following sentence in the par()
chapter:
"Use tck=0.01 and mgp=c(1,-1.5,0) for internal tick marks."
I thought that's nice, because I wanted to have tick marks and tick labels
inside and the axis title outside.

win2k/xp crashes after logon to PDC
Very strange on my desktop(win2k) I don't get this problem but on other
workstations both win2k and winxp I get this. After logging on to the
Domain a windows labelled 'Sas Window: winlogon.exe - Application Error'
pops up with the following message:

Joining a domain with a non-administrator account
I'm trying to set it up so I can join the domain with a regular user
that is part of the domain admin group. I have a user dsonenberg that
is in the domain admin group(512), but I can't join the domain with that
account. For the record I can login with that account and Administrator
can join the domain. The PDC has an LDAP backend. Here's the log.

Load Balancing over multiple NICS
I was currious about setting up load balancing for my company
fileserver. This machine get's heavy usage and we would like to load
balance the traffic over two 1 Gigabit NICS. How would this be best
accomplished? Should we set up a firewall rules that will NAT for that
machine or does samba have a built in mechinism?

How to call a value labels attribute?
Dear All,
after searching on CRAN I got the impression that there is no standard way
in R to label values of a numerical variable.
Since this would be useful for me I intend to create such an attribute, at
the moment for my personal use.
Still I would like to choose a name which does not conflict with names of
commonly used attributes.
Would value.labels or vallabs create conflicts?

change in read.spss, package foreing?
Dear All,
it seems to me that the function read.spss of package foreign changed its
behaviour regarding factors. I noted that in version 0.8-8 variables with
value labels in SPSS were transformed in factors with the labels in
alphabetic order.
In version 0.8-10 they seem to be ordered preserving the order
corresponding to their numerical codes in SPSS.
However I could not find a description of

Why is .journal file sometimes visible and sometimes not?
Hi.
I recently migrated two machines from ext2 to ext3. Kernels (nearly
identical) are 2.4.9-ac9 + preemptivity-patch + wrr-patch. The Installations
are based on Mandrake 7.2 + 8.0. Also I have e2fstools-1.23 newly compiled on
them. Both machines have two ext3 partitions (root + multimedia-data). On one
machine I see a .journal file on both partitions, on the other machine

sometimes CIDNUM shows, sometimes CIDNAME??? Why, why, why, why?
Why Asterisk showing (on SCCP and H323 phones) different CID related to
type of Incoming channel:
If incoming channel is SIP, on phone is displayed CALLERIDNUM
If incoming channel is ZAP, on phone is displayes CALLERIDNAME
It vas very frustrating! I lost couple hours of my time to find that my
dialplan is not faulty, but asterisk is!

Malloc null checks, why sometimes are moved and sometimes not?
Hello,
Here is simple test code:
https://godbolt.org/g/mjAUpu
LLVM generally assumes that malloc never fails.
But I dont understand difference between these two example functions - and
why null check was not removed in f1, since in f2 it was removed.
Thanks

That's because the return value from malloc is
