sssd problems after dc1 is no longer online
Hi all, I hope that this request for help will be the last one, for a while to come. Today, sernet support helped my sort out our DC mess, and they did a great job. However, sssd no longer works, and I hope someone here can help out. We used to have DC1, DC2 and DC3. DC1 was the classic-upgraded, first, 'original' DC, and had to be shutdown, unfortunately. So only DC2 and DC3

Dovecot SLOW with sssd in centos 6
Hello, I have a big performance problem with a mail server using dovecot and authenticating users via ldap. The architecture of the machine is a local ldap and mysql server, they are used by dovecot for authenticating the mail users. If i use pam_sss the mail server has about 1/8 - 1/10 the performances it has if i use the pam_ldap. Even doing a 'time ls -l' on the mail tree (there are

LDAP login problem for CentOS 6.5
Hi, We are experiencing a problem to use LDAP user accounts to login into a CentOS system. A fresh 6.5 system was installed recently to become a central server. Both OpenLDAP and 389 Directory Server were installed and configured (not at the same time) with groups and normal user accounts. The server was configured to use LDAP authentication (through authconfig and

SSSD configuration
Hello, we're upgrading from Centos 5.8 to Centos 6.3 and have realized few things have changed in the system. We're using LDAP authentication (nss_ldap package) on our Centos 5.8 servers and have different PAM ldap configuration files configured to be used for specific PAM services. Here is the example of our setup: /etc/pam.d/service1: auth sufficient pam_ldap.so

The samba logs indicate the problem is with samba. The sssd logs show everything working except for samba. I changed my smb.conf to default setting and setting that should not be there (as explained in your
