SOLVED: Roaming profiles not updating XP
After almost 40 hours of work and testing over 6 computers I have finally
figured out the answer to my problem of Roaming profiles not updating. This
has occurred with SAMBA versions 2.2.* and later up through and including
3.0.2a (completely clean install in each case, including rebuilding domain,
users and groups and smb.conf from scratch). It does not appear to be a SAMBA
issue but one

Strange behavior of mysql 4.1.8/9 + dovecot1.0-test58~test61 on Fedora 3 x86_64 machine
Some additional tests. I tried to add a test connection in the main.c under auth, which should be the main file of dovecot-auth. The test connection is done as the first statement in the int main() function. However, it still reports that the connection fails due to access denied. What should I do?? Any suggestions are welcomed.

Win 8.1 logout issues on samba 4.1.8
Hello.
Here is my trouble. I have my notebook connected to nt-style domain after
register fix same as in win7:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManWorkstation\Parameters]
DWORD DomainCompatibilityMode 1
DWORD DNSNameResolutionRequired 0
I can connect with any issues, mount drives etc. As soon as I try to log
out, win8.1 is doing it faster than samba server, so I can see

I'm trying to "Install Guest Additions" and it requires the
"kernel-devel". Okay, not I'm trying to mount the DVD1 (iso), but linux
is showing it as empty (no files). But if I mount this on a 5.7 VM, it

Strange behavior of mysql 4.1.8/9 + dovecot 1.0-test58~test61 on Fedora 3 x86_64 machine
I've built & configured the dovecot to use mysql as the passdb and
userdb. However, dovecot-auth always claims that the username/password
of mysql server is wrong (access denied by mysql server) during the
connection. When I set the password to NULL, it can successfully connect
to mysql server! I am 100% sure that I typed the correct password (by
copy & paste), and I can successfully

in the (relatively distant) past, i several times downloaded,
built, and ran the then-current version of samba with little to no
problem. i recently experienced similar successful results with
samba-3.6.23.
