Classical Upgrade
Hi you all
I? getting the following error when trying
to upgrade a samba 3 to 4
ldap_connect_system: Binding to ldap server ldap://10.21.28.229 as
"cn=administrator,dc=espmg,dc=lan"

Classicupgrade of 4.1.17 error: "list index out of range"
I'm trying to upgrade to AD from a Samba 4 PDC with openLDAP (on Debian 8).
I'm stuck at this very unhelpful error:
# samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/usr/local/samba.PDC/dbdir/
--use-xattrs=yes --realm=ad.mydomain.tld --dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL

ntvfs handler = cifs, CIFS-Proxy
Hello,
I'm trying to configure a CIFS-Proxy. My configuration is:

workgroup = MYDOM
server role = member server
realm = MYDOM.NET
netbios name = FS01
server services = +smb +s3fs
dcerpc endpoint servers = +winreg +srvsvc

ntvfs handler = cifs

classicupgrade try #1
So as I said, I grabbed EVERYTHING that was in the /etc/samba dir along
with ALL .tbd files and ran:
# samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/root/samba.PDC/dbdir/
--use-xattrs=yes --realm=home.htt --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ
/root/samba.PDC/etc/smb.conf
ANd it resulted in (note ldap error):

Printer Drivers lost after classicupgrade
Dear samba list
after a classic upgrade
i lose the printer drivers uploaded in NT Domain mode
the drivers files are still present in print$ share
but enumdrivers rpcclient command list no drivers...
did i forgot a file in the dbdir during classicupgrade call or this data
are not handled during classicupgrade ?

Samba4 Classicupgrade Failed
Hi,
I am stuck on upgrading the current Samba3 to Samba4, currently used Samba
3.3.10 and upgraded to Samba 3.4.17 still the same problems below. I also
try to upgrade the Python 2.4.3 to Python 2.7 still same problems, with the
OpenLDAP 2.3.43.
[root at ewanko]# /usr/local/samba/bin/samba-tool domain classicupgrade
--dbdir=/var/lib/samba/ --use-xattrs=yes --realm=ewanko.local

classicupgrade fails on rc6, worked on rc5
Hello,
I get the following error when performing a classicupgrade on rc6. This
does not occur with rc4 or rc5. The command I am using is:
samba-tool domain classicupgrade \
--dbdir=/root/import/var/lib/samba --use-xattrs=yes \
--realm=internal.testdom.com /root/import/etc/samba/smb.conf
ERROR(<type 'exceptions.IndexError'>): uncaught exception - list index out

Samba4 ClassicUpgrade
Hi all.
Problems resolved!
I found the samba process that was increasing the memory after I ran the
netstat from PID and I discovered that the process opened 88/464 tcp/udp
port.
After I ran tcpdump program in my DC server listening udp 88 port and I
found many clients machines sending traffic a lot to my DC server. I
blocked the ips from clients machines by iptables and the samba process

Issues with classicupgrade LDAP

I'm attempting a classicupgrade from Samba3 to Samba4 with an LDAP
backend and encountering this error:
