can't do a yum install of apache C7
Hey all, I'm logged into a CentOS 7 box and trying to install apache. Not having any luck, as it's not being found. Which is odd, because I have the right repos enabled: [root at hadoop1:/etc/yum.repos.d] #cat /etc/redhat-release Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.0 (Maipo) [root at hadoop1:/etc/yum.repos.d] #yum repolist Loaded plugins: amazon-id, rhui-lb repo id

cdr_mysql: Cannot connect to database server - SSL error: SSL_CTX_set_default_verify_paths failed
Hi list! I'm getting this error frequently: ERROR[25193][C-0004f387]: cdr_mysql.c:203 mysql_log: Cannot connect to database server localhost: (2026) SSL connection error: SSL_CTX_set_default_verify_paths failed Right now, as a workaround, I reload Asterisk via cron once an hour, and after the reload everything is fine again _for a while_. Maria 10 breaks unixodbc mysql connector
I recently installed mariadb-server 10.1 by adding the following repository: baseurl = http://yum.mariadb.org/10.1/centos7-amd64 ...all was well until we had a power failure and upon rebooting unixodbc was segfaulting. Once I did a yum undo, the mysql odbc driver was functional. I traced it to the following: [root at ec-ast yum.repos.d]# ldd /usr/lib64/libmyodbc5w.so | grep -iE

MariaDB repository
My C7 system has mariadb 5.5.37, installed from the Centos repository. The latest version (with a security update is 5.5.39). Mariadb.org has its own repositories, but they don't list Centos 7 as an option. Is anyone using the repository for Centos 6 with Centos 7? See

mairadb doesn't prompt for user/pass
Hello, I discovered today that CentOS 7 has replaced MySQL with MariaDB. Which is fine, it's seems really similar. And I was already aware that it was written by the original team that wrote mysql. It's cool that the mysql command still gets you in! This is the version I have: [root at web1:~] #mysql --version mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.37-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline

yum update / kernal update failed - remove or repair
I have a VPS running C7. I ran a 'yum update' which included a kernel update. The yum update wasn't a total success because mariadb updates failed. However everything else appeared to work. However, when I rebooted the server it did not restart. I have managed to get the ISP's support desk to boot the server by selecting the previous kernel, and I now have access to my box again.

Centos 7 and php 5.5
I am hoping that the wisdom of the group here can at least point me in the right direction. I have a Centos7 server that I need to upgrade php from 5.4 to 5.5. I've tried several tutorials to add the remi repository and enable php55, but I always end up at the same result: Error: Package: php-5.5.38-1.el6.remi.x86_64 (remi-php55) Requires: httpd-mmn = 20051115

SOT: MariaDB 5.5.x-MariaDB logs are not going to desired .log file
Hi there, I know this is off-topic or semi off-topic but I really need some help since I am stucked. I'm trying to redirect MariaDB logs to `/var/log/mysql/*.log` files as shown below on the `/etc/my.cnf.d/server.cnf` file: # # These groups are read by MariaDB server. # Use it for options that only the server (but not clients) should see # # See the examples of server

PHP 7.x on CentOS 7 : which solution ?
Hi, As you all know, CentOS 7 is shipping PHP 5.4, which is OK in some situations. Unfortunately, some applications like OwnCloud require a more recent version of PHP. Up until recently, I've been using PHP 5.6 packages from the Webtatic repository. Despite the bad press this third party repo seems to have, it has been working perfectly for me for a few years. Here's the PHP 5.6 packages

mariadb driver for named-sdb (CentOS 7)
I've looked high and low and I cannot a package that has the mariadb driver to go with bind-sdb-9.9.4-14.el7_0.1.x86_64. Everything I'm finding is how to build from source, which for this project will not be maintainable. Is there a yum repo with this driver anywhere? Thanks much, Jim
