Well, based on your tcpdump output, it looks like your rules were
rejecting unrelated packets, or tcp/443 packets. It's hard to be sure
since the ICMP was the first packet, so you didn't show the packet it
was actually replying to.
The ICMP traffic is a result of

Mother boards for Centos 7
Hi list,
I need a new mobo for my workstation.
I'm planning to buy Asus Z97K or Asus Z97 Pro and install Centos 7.
Anyone has experiences with these mobos?
I need to know if Z97 chipset and NIC Realtek 8111GR are supported by C7.
Another question about Intel I218V NIC installed on Asus Z97 Pro. Is it
supported?
I've ridden from google that Z97 chipset seems be supported by Linux but

matrix inverse in C
Hi,
I'm writing an R package using the C code i've written. I'm wondering if
anyone knows an easy way to calculate an inverse and cholesky factor of a
matrix using the Fortran/C library of R: and how to call them from C. My
code is based on the Numerical Reciepe code, and I'm trying to use
something that is already in R.
Thanks for your help in advance,

CentOS 6 and XDMCP
Hi all,
I am trying to use XDMCP from a Mac (OSX Lion, XQuartz) to an updated
CentOS 6 64Bit host.
I am tunneling through SSH, so I use XDMCP on the remote host locally
via Xnest like this:
> ssh -X -C -l $LOGINUSER $HOST -n "Xnest :1 -ac -geometry 1440x850

I get a black screen without any login window or desktop background.

XDMCP - no GDM login, only gray screen with X
I'm having trouble getting the GDM login screen to show up when I
connect from a remote host. I'm using Xming on the local Windows
machine, but every time I connect to the remote server all I get is a
gray window with the X cursor. I have "Enable=true" in the [xdmcp]
section of /etc/gdm/custom.conf. IPtables is disabled. I've googled
around and read through the xdmcp page
