Bridging wireless interface for KVM guests
Hi all, I am trying to configure wlan0 interface to use it with kvm guests. I know that I need to use ebtables statements due to it is not possible to link wlan0 interface with a bridge. I have followed Debian's tutorial: https://wiki.debian.org/BridgeNetworkConnections#Bridging_with_a_wireless_NIC without luck. Someone have tried?? I am using CentOS 7 fully patched. Thanks.

OT: adding a wifi adapter to openvswitch
Hi all, Finally, I have installed openvswitch from source to two CentOS hosts: one 6.x and other 7.x. I will do some tests using openvswitch bridges to my KVM machines. One of these tests is to add a wlan0 adapter from comandline but only when this wlan0 is associated with a ssid without assign an IP. Is this posible? Do I nees to add some ebtables like, for example, Debian's wiki

Web inteface for uploading?
I was wondering if there is a web interface out there for uploading and downloading from samba shares? I found the SMB2WWW but it at the moment does not support upload nor does it seem very secure. I would like something that requires authentication. Has anyone done this or is it even possible yet? Wayne

The R-Java inteface from Omegahat
We have finally configured the R-Java interface as a `regular' R package. This allows R users to create arbitrary Java objects and call any accessible method. It has a reasonably sophisticated mechanism for handling transferring of arguments from R to Java and vice-versa, and allows Java classes to be implemented via R functions. The package and all the documentation is available from

How to configure VLAN in CentOS7
Hi, I encountered a problem when creating a VLAN interface according to the Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-7-Networking_Guide. I configuered the parent interface ifcfg-eno1 as follows: DEVICE=eno1 TYPE=Ethernet BOOTPROTO=none ONBOOT=yes And I created a new file named ifcfg-eno1.5, the content is: DEVICE=eno1.5 BOOTPROTO=none ONBOOT=yes IPADDR=192.168.81.3 PREFIX=24

system-config-network centos altarch
Hi I have just installed centos 7 altarch on a 32 bit computer. I selected the minimal system install. I see that when I search with yum there is no command system-config-network, i.e. yum search system-config-network Does this command (system-config-network) still exist? Would I expect it to be in the repository even though I did a minimum install? Although I do not have X, I can run some X

Traditional network interface naming scheme vs. persistent naming
Hi, I'm currently experimenting with CentOS 7 in order to get a grasp of everything that's new. After having read the FAQ entry on network interface names, I decided to revert to the tradictional interface naming scheme by adding the relevant kernel options to the bootloader. This went well, I have now two interfaces names 'eth0' and 'eth1' as expected. In my office

CentOS 5 and Broadcom wireless

However, the inteface doesn't come up. Google doesn't find anything recent about using Linux with Broadcom except for someone's passing remark that Ubuntu 7 beta
