Cannot remount drive after lost iSCSI connection
Hi all, We've having an issue at the moment where an iSCSI connection was temporarily lost on a few VMs running CentOS 6 on ESXi. The problem is, now that the iSCSI connection has returned, we are not able to remount the drive. At first the drive is read-only, so I tried '*mount -o remount,rw*' which didn't work (still read-only), so then I tried a '*umount*' (which

Re: Libguestfs Hangs on CentOS 7.4
(1) This made no difference. It still hangs around the same place. (2) It wasn't enabled in the kernel so i enabled it. I then rebooted but unfortunately it made no difference. If you want access to a hypervisor to have a play around, let me know. The only information i really have is that if i installed CentOS 7.3 on this hypervisor it works fine. Can't create any VPS using KVM template due to the error with libguestfs
Hi, I'm using SolusVM control panel to create KVM VPS. Suddenly, I can't make any VPS on Host-Node. Their build log says the SolusVM can't read the libguestfs in server. During the debug, I've tried to mount existing VPS using guestmount command and I can't mount the KVM image. Please check here. [root@msv07 /]# guestmount -i -a /dev/msv07data/kvm139_img /mnt libguestfs:

Extending a CentOS disk without reboot
Hello, Today a virtual server under my administration ran out of disk space, so I had to get extra space to it.. while it was running, because it's an important web server without any kind of HA/Load Balancing (don't do that, kids). So what happened, is that after another administrator had extended the disk from VMWare, I tried to extend it from the OS side. Everything went well,

resize disk image partition
Hi, I''m trying to clarify if it''s at all possible to live resize a disk image. After trying and failing it seems that the reason a disk image cannot be resized - is that domU is only able to detect changes in partitions (eg. partprobe), not in block devices as the xvd driver lacks a rescan feature. My domU sees disk images as blockdevices - that is without a partition table,

Re: Reg PV-HVM templates
Hi Karthick, For questions like this it''s good to loop in the xen-users list as answers may benefit others too. In terms of how to create an ISO.. that''s not quite the intention of these images. SolusVM intends for you to install the OS from an ISO which it will then manage. This is quite possible but I don''t know much about SolusVM. What you would need to do is: 1.

Thanks for the info. I can confirm doing the following works: yum install centos-release-qemu-ev yum install qemu-kvm-ev libguestfs-test-tool completes in 3 seconds. wrong kvm vm status in libvirt
Hi, are some days that i'm searching for a possible bug in libvirt. I use Solusvm control panel to manage my kvm VM. If i start a vm it will be shown correctly as Running. After some days i found that libvirt show same vm as shut off, but this is not true. I still see login to vm, join in ssh, join in vnc etc. If i want to show correct state i need to power off the VM and boot it again. this
