Please, is possible (with rsync) re-create files timestamps? I mean something like choosing a "-T" in the program mirror- from it's man page e.g. there: http://sunsite.univie.ac.at/textbooks/mirror/mirror.html#Flags "Do not do any file transfers just force the time-stamps of any local files to be reset to be the same as the remote files. execute permissions missing after upgrade to Samba 4
After upgrading from samba-3.6.12 to samba-4.0.9 (Fedora 17 i686 -> Fedora 19 i686, smb.conf stayed same) I see weird behavior - windows client can not run executable files due to insufficient permissions. However, when I in Linux set (with 'chmod u+x,g+x ...') execution bit for these files, all is fine and windows client can run their. It seems for me as samba4 (contrary to samba3)

samba-tool user add - weird resulting
When creating AD user using 'samba-tool user add <username> ...', there are switches for some human name parts specification: --surname=SURNAME User's surname --given-name=GIVEN_NAME User's given name --initials=INITIALS User's initials and samba-tool (or Samba daemon itself?) assembles other (LDB) attributes from them: dn : as
