Fwd: memory leak
Hi, I've observed this strange behaviour for a while in my test environment. It looks like that all problems gone away when I switch to "hub-mode" instead of switch mode. Does tinc still work properly in switch mode when I transport vlan tagged traffic within that tunnel? In my environment the side, which is receiving arp requests from the wired interface, is running out of

memory leak with vlan tagged traffic in switch mode
Hi, has anybody a running setup with 2 or more tinc daemons in switch mode which transport 8021q tagged traffic? I am trying to connect two segments with about 4 x 1000 mac addresses (distributed on different vlans). I am always running out of memory on one side. This happens only on the side where the arp requests come from. Currently there is no unicast traffic between the sides; only

strange flock issues with glusterfs 3.0.0
Hi, FYI: we had glusterfs up and running with 2.0.8 and it worked fine. we decided to upgrade to 3.0.0 and found out, that with linux 2.6.31.7 and glusterfs 3.0.0 and the kernel fuse module, the flock() does not seem to work, i.e. apache2 php session files distributed via glusterfs 3.0.0 make apache2 hang on LOCK_EX we reverted back to 2.0.8 and installed glusterfs-fuse 2.7.4 and everything is

PriorityInheritance doesn't work (tinc 1.0.19)
Hello! I'd like to use PriorityInheritance option, despite it is still experimental. (Why it could be experimental, when it looks quite simple feature, no?) But this option doesn't change the TOS field of outgoing UDP packet. I just do tcpdump on outgoing interface from vty1: $ sudo tcpdump -vni eth0 udp dst port 655 And from vty2 I do ping with setting of tos field to EF(0xb8). $

Non-linear maximization function in R
Hello, # Full disclosure. I am not sure if my problem is a bug(s) in the code, or a fundamental misunderstanding on my part about what I am trying to do with these statistics. Xapian 1.0.23 released
I've uploaded Xapian 1.0.23 (including Search::Xapian 1.0.23.0), which as usual you can download from: http://xapian.org/download This release fixes a few bugs and improves portability to Cygwin. This will probably be the last release from the 1.0 series. 1.2.0 was released 8.5 months ago, and we'll probably want to start a new development series soon, so it's time to retire 1.0.

Problem when one node is N/A
Hi Tincers, I installed tincd on three desktops, two are used as servers because they have an static IP. The third is a Laptop with various Lan's. Everything works fine, as long as all two servers are running, the Laptop connect to both servers. When one server becomes anavailable, the connections to the other server interrups every 30 secondeds when tinc trys to connect to the server that

Missing connection
Hi, I've set up Tinc in switch-mode on the three nodes "gw", "rb493g" and "v900w", but the nodes "rb493g" and "w900v" do not connect to each other. On each node port 655 is opened with TCP and UDP. "gw": static IPv4- and IPv6 address listed in the hosts-file "gw" hosts-files: "gw",
