Logon Hours with Samba PDC
I have been searching for information about implementing Logon Hours with a
Samba 2.2.5 PDC (or for that matter any version of SAMBA) but haven't yet
noticed any postings or correspondence. I have set up a a Samba PDC and
have mapped shares, authenticated users, blah blah blah, .... everything
seems to work fine. I checked with 'rpcclient' to see what sort of
information is

How tinc route traffic when two subnets are identical?
Hi, All
Two remote tinc nodes(A, B) advertised the same route to the Tinc domain, and the local tinc node(C) has two ConnectTo to point to those two remote nodes, and I found, and let’s assume connection from C to A is better than C to B (better latency from ping) :
1. when two remote nodes are up, the traffic always send through A
2. when A is down, traffic send through B
3. when A recovered,

Edit label in virtual listctrl
Hi,
I am testing a virtual listctrl, and have run into some problems with
changing the labels in it.
The listctrl shows a bunch of rows and columns, and it gets activate
events whenever I doubleclick on a cell. Works like a charm.
My problem comes when I call the edit_label method, specifically that I
think that I don't quite understand the argument passed to it (item as
integer). This

machines. i use it like this:

the problem i have, is i want to specifiy a specific ssh port other than 22.
i want to connect to a specific ssh server behind the firewall on the remote
end.
it would be nice to use the

generalized matrix product ?
Is there available in R a generalized inner product or matrix product,
similar to 'outer(x,y, fun)', where one can specifiy an arbitrary function
in place of ordinary multiplication?
Here's my application. I frequently analyze user questionnaires from our
HR/training department. These have questions of the form
"please rate your skill in task X",
and other questions

hello! first post + context_setup
Greetings all.
I''m looking over a ''greenfield'' pasture, and enjoying the TDD(BDD)
process of creation.
I''m currently rspec''ing a finite state machine
(acts_as_state_machine). As such, I need to persist the model through
''specifies'' within the context - from top to bottom.
I have bumped into a couple of probs:

combined random effects
Hi,
I have the following linear mixed model:
y(g,i,j,k,l)=u + L(g) + T(i) + D(j) + S(k) + (TS)(i,k) + error(g,i,j,k,l)
where S(k) and the combined effect (TS)(i,k) are random effects whereas
the rest are fixed effects.
How do I specifiy the random part of the model formula in lme(),
especially concerning the combined effect (TS)?
Moreover, when I run the model as a fixed effect model I get

PAP2T-NA Jitter Buffer
Hi Folks,
I know the PAP2T-NA has a jitterbuffer.... however, it seems to be adaptive,
which is fine for most situations... however, is there some way I can
either:
A) Specify how long it waits before it starts to shrink?
B) Specifiy a fixed sized jitterbuffer?

eth enumeration order
I have installed Centos 6 on a server with two NICs. It so happens that
the NIC with the lower ARP adr is assigned 'eth1' and the NIC with the
higher ARP 'eth0'. (Not sure if this a bug but it is at least inconvenient)
I have modified the udev rules in
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
by swapping eth0 with eth1 in the NIC's rules.
However: the file gets changed on

Log in one server, have shares in another ?
Hi,
I have samba server (2.2.X, migrating to 3.0.4) that authenticates the
users and let them mount their "home" dir.
I'd like to change that in order to have one server doing the
authentication but the shares actually being accessed in a different
one.
user ----> samba server1/login

How can I do that ? My ideai is to

Vignette Questions
Dear List,
I recently stumbled over the possibility and need to specifiy
% \VignetteDepends{}
in my vignettes. I did not know about this, and I notice that it is not
mentioned in the R-extensions manual section "Writing package vignettes".
I have some questions with regards to that:
- would it be possible to include into the section "Writing package
vignettes" some hint

Help with reading data
everytime i try to read in data i get the following error:
Error in scan(file = file, what = what, sep = sep, quote = quote, dec = dec, :
line 3 did not have 5 elements
it was my understanding it wasn''t necessary to specifiy all defaults. The bizarre thing is this error comes from using read.table.
When I use scan I get the following error:

32-on-64 and PVGRUB
so it appears that PVGRUB requires that I specifiy (in my
domain config file) either the -x86_64 or the -x86_32
version.
Does anyone have a clever way I can let my users switch
between x86_64 and i386 without giving them access to
the domain config file? Preferably, something more secure
than PyGRUB?
I was considering hacking up PyGRUB so that it only
allows the user a choice of

High resolution graphics from R Windows Vista
Hi
I appreciate there has been some recent discussion regarding generating publication quality graphics in R. I am fairly familiar with these issues and have had no problems generating high quality images from R windows version. However, I have recently install Vista and what previously worked well under XP now looks substandard when generated from R (using tiff(), jpeg(), etc) and I haven't
