High packet loss under load
(please keep me addressed directly as I am not subscribed to the list)
Hi,
I am experiencing high packet loss on a Tinc tunnel under load. For
example, a running Ping looses about 60% of packages while apt-get
update is utilizing the tunnel.
I am not very certain that Tinc is the culprit, as the tunnel is running
over a Wifi connection. The Wifi connection has been proven to be
stable, though.

Under version 2.7.0 I could without problems compile R-packages, I wrote

reliability of dump/restore on ext3 systems?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I've been asked whether there are any outstanding issues in using dump/restore
to backup ext3-based systems. The persons asking me this had mentioned
previously hearing that dump may be unreliable and was asking for
verifcation. TIA.

reliability of the level-1 random coefficients (lme4)
Hello everyone,
I want to estimate the reliability *of the level*-*1 random coefficients
(the one *reported in the HLM output) using the software R. Does anyone know
how to get this statistic from R?
I'm using the function "lmer" of the package "lme4" to estimate multilevel
models.
I tried to use the formula but I can't find specific information such as the

Reliability analysis and Laplace factor functions
Is there some package out there that implements functions
for reliability analysis, especially for software reliability?
In particular, I'm looking for:
* Laplace factor (Cox & Lewis 1978)
* Goel-Okumoto fitting
Thanks in advance,

001: RELIABILITY FIX: March 15, 2013
Can someone please provide me with a little more information about
this. It could be the source of some issues I am seeing with
mpirun/mpiexec.hydra/ssh (post earlier today), and information about
what it leads to (and any signatures) would be helpful. Thanks.

[patch] improve reliability of Inflector.transliterate
Hello,
I''d like to ask for some feedback on a patch I just submitted.
The patch improves the reliability of
ActiveSupport::Inflector.transliterate, which currently does not
handle many characters from Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, Polish and
other European languages.
This is because the current code relies upon UTF-8 decomposition, but
many common characters do not in fact decompose to

R for reliability analysis (with censored samples)?
Hello,
first: I am a newbie to this list, so if this isn't the right place to
ask, thanks for pointing me to the right direction...
I'm currently working on adding a degree in RAMS engineering to my
general engineering education, and consequently I'm looking for
software to get my future work done. This will have to handle mostly
right-/left-/intervall-censored samples,

the below patch makes the query for the localized name of the local

Uptime/reliability with SER, Asterisk
Could anyone shed any light on how SER and/or Asterisk (stable branch)
has held up for them in that last while?
Are you using SER and/or * in a production environment? Do you ever
restart the software or reboot the system? How many users are
utilizing the system? How many calls per day/concurrently?
I read some uptimes and such on the mailing list from long ago, so I
was wondering what some more

Inbound call center - reliability \ scalability with queues
We are wanting to move off of our legacy inter-tel phoneswitch and move to
VoIP and asterisk. We are looking for a new PBX because the inter-tel
switch is too difficult to integrate our existing (and new) software into.
We are a technical support center. All our calls currently come in on toll
free numbers via T1's, and there are 3 of them. I want to use a media
gateway to convert the

VOIP provider reliability
Anyone out there using VOIP for business class inbound/outbound
services? I've found my VOIP provider to be less than reliable, SIP
registrations timeout, calls drop, they claim IAX2 is too buggy (I
find that hard to believe), and pretty much blame all problems on
other circumstances and don't actually fix their problems. Their auto
rollover doesn't even work right, so if my PBX is
