Error while processing ID
Hello all, my apologies if I have failed to RTFM, but the PDF manual and google were no help. I am trying to get a simple two node tunnel setup. I have verified that the up scripts bring up the interfaces as they are written; however my gut feeling is that there is something wrong there, but I am not sure exactly what. Misc items: * I have a Port line in horcrux because I ran INIT as a user,

tinc-1.1pre10 seems to be broken on Windows
Hi, I was previously using tinc-1.1pre8 and it worked just fine, but after upgrading to tinc-1.1pre10 my Windows machine is unable to connect to my tinc network, as it fails to complete the handshake. Steps to reproduce: - Set up a Linux node with tinc-1.1pre10 using "tinc init" - Set up a Windows node with tinc-1.1pre10 using "tinc init", and try to make it connect to the

tinc 1.1pre10 "failed to decrypt record" on Windows client
Tinc newbie here so apologies if this is obvious or has been discussed already; I did search but couldn't find anything. I'm testing tinc 1.1pre10 between a Windows 7 client and Linux server. The Linux machine is on the internet and the Windows machine is on my home network behind NAT. I have successfully configured a Linux client on my home network to communicate with the server

tinc stopped working after restart
Hi. I'm in desperate need of some good advice. I have a tinc network with 16 nodes. It's a star topology where all nodes are connecting to the one node (Node1) that have a static IP. Node 1 accepts incomming connections Node 2 through 16 connects to Node1 One of the nodes (Node5) stopped working a while ago (2 - 3 weeks or so), other than that everything was working fine. Today I

Tinc1.1pre10 on Windows 8.1?
Hello tincers, I run a small tinc mesh using version 1.1pre10 on mostly linux (debian) hosts. In the past, I was able to successfully join my windows machine to the tinc network, when I was running an earlier version of tinc (throughout the mesh). However, with 1.1pre10, I have had no success. Is this a known error, a misconfiguration on my part, or some other issue? I currently have no tinc-up

Tinc 1.1pre3, 1.1pre4 hangs after some time, on win32 platform
Dear tinc members! Recently I ran into some problems when trying to test the new tinc 1.1 builds under windows. The main problem is that the tincd daemon randomly hangs (usually in first 1-3 minutes after start). Sometimes it happens quietly, and the log does not display anything. But from time to time, there are bunch of decryption errors ("Error while decrypting: error:06065064:digital

BindToAddress stopped working in 1.1pre10
Hello, First of all thank you very much for Tinc. I have been using 1.0.24 under Debian & Alpine Linux 32 bit using 'BindToAddress' in tinc.conf without any issues to bind to an IPv6 ULA Address. With 1.1pre10 'BindToAddress' in tinc.conf on the client machines fails with: ============================================================================== tincd 1.1pre10 (Jun

init script for tinc-1.1pre10
HI, Is there an init script to start stop tinc tinc-1.1pre10 for debian. I am running tinc -n name --pidfile /dir/name start from /etc/rc.local sometimes it's not creating the pid file but I see the process running. It would be great if we can manage it from /etc/init.d/ Thanks Anil -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Taking determinant of a matrix of NAs results in intermittent memory corruption
Greetings; I've posted the following to R's bug tracking system (at https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17210 ) and Martin Maechler requested that I post to this list as well. If I start R from the command line with --vanilla, then repeatedly execute the following line: det(matrix(nrow=10,ncol=10)) ... I eventually get a crash, with error: *** Error in

PMTU = 1518 over local network at 1500 MTU
Hi all, I have two nodes, connected to a switch, using Tinc 1.1 from git. They connect each other with sptps, and to other nodes in the Internet with old protocol because they have Tinc 1.0. There is no problem with remote nodes, but between my 2 local nodes, they see 1518 PMTU. But local network is 1500 MTU !!! So nodes can ping each other but larger data does not go. test1=sllm1 test2=sllm2

additional Port entry in tinc hosts key file
Hi, I am using tinc version 1.1pre10, and I am generating the key file using command below ... /usr/local/sbin/tinc -n myvpn init hostname In some of the host file I am seeing a new line "Port = 29732" added at the end of the host key file... /etc/tinc/myvpn/hosts/hostname Port = 29732 this line Port = 29732 is causing tinc to break. It all works fine once I manually delete the

poor throughput with tinc
Hi, I am testing tinc for a very large scale deployment. I am using tinc-1.1 for testing. test results below are for tinc in switch mode. all other settings are default. test is performed in LAN env. 2 different hosts. I am getting only 24.6 Mbits/sec when tinc is used. without tinc on the same hosts/link I get 95 to 100 Mbits/sec using iperf. Over Tinc: iperf -c 192.168.9.9 -b 100m -l 32k -w

Tinc Network Spikes
Hi, ? I've recently moved from OpenVPN to Tinc for the mesh setup. Everything works nicely except for some looping packet issues. ? I have 12 servers around the United States, including a couple of moving clients. Every now and then the network is flooded with what I assume is looping packets. 200-300MB of bandwidth per node over 10-45 minutes (normally < 20 KB/s, idle). Most if not all

All nodes was connected both 1.1pre10 and 1.1pre11 before "tinc -n vpn restart" at Node 1.
