[DC2.x ]pop3-login seg faults when compiled with gcc 4.5.2 and gold
Hello,
On FreeBSD, Dovecot 2.0.1 compiles fine with gcc45 and the other
services have no problem, but even without any optimizations (CFLAGS) at
all, pop3-login seg faults when a user tries to connect to Dovecot using
POP3.
As this is not the only application that has a problem with the latest
version of gcc (mod_php), there may be nothing that can be done on the
Dovecot side, but I thought I

echo cancellation seg faults
Hi Jean,
I got the earlier problem fied with correct NN and tail values. But
I dont see any echo being cancelled. To the echo cancel API I am
giving, audio packets that are being played currently and audio
packets that are captured from the mic.
Since the audio packets being played came from machine B (as in a
normal VoIP call), could this be a potential problem? As the
packets being compared

echo cancellation seg faults
On closer looks and debugging I always end up in
speex_echo_cancel function with comment
/* Temporary adaption rate if filter is not adapted correctly */
Does this give any clue to the problem? I wonder why it would not
find its mirror image as an echo and do echo cancellation?
Any insight is appreciated. If you need some more data, tell me.
Thanks

R-alpha: Seg.faults with complex: factor(..), unique(..). Missing feature ``sort( complex(..) )''
1) Several functions still (0.50 - pre6)
give seg.faults when called with complex:
unique( 1i) --> segfault
In 'factor', levels are defaulted to 'sort(unique(x))'
which seg.faults factor( 1i).
Because of 'factor', table(..complex..) seg.faults,.....
2) sort ( complex ) [[Of course this is minor ..]]
You may not believe this can be useful, but...

problems (seg-faults) while trying to compile for older suse versions
Hi!
While preparing 2.13.2 in the build service I get stuck for some older
releases of openSUSE / SLED.
While it built fine for 2.13.1 now I get segfaults in 'make docs' and
do so only for 32-bit architectures. This is not urgent, because only
older releases are affected, nevertheless I would like to understand
the cause.
Attached are what I think the relevant parts of a build-log,

identify() seg.faults when x is an empty list, when the n argument is given a
positive value, avoiding the check for non-positive n (n <- length(x) when x is
the non-existent x component of the empty list, and when neither x nor y are
components of the list.

echo cancellation seg faults
Hi,
I tried keeping it for a very long time and put logs there and it
always went to not adapting.
This is how I initialize speex_echo_cancel
SpeexEchoState* _echoState = speex_echo_state_init(160, 320*10);
I have 20 msecs of audio with 16bits for a sample.
If two frames are identical and are given to speex_echo_cancel for
many iterations, should I expect silence.
Thanks

echo cancellation seg faults
Hi,
For my VoIP application machine A sends speex encoded audio of to
machine B and vice versa at. Data is captured in PCM 8Khz, 16 bit
and then encoded using speex 1.1.12
The packet A played and the packet A captured through mic are the
input to speex echo canceller. So I am trying to remove traces of
packet A played from the captured data. I have followed example

read.table problem on Linux/Alpha (seg faults caused by isspace(R_EOF)) (PR#303)
Full_Name: Naoki Takebayashi
Version: 0.65.1
OS: Linux/Alpha
Submission from: (NULL) (129.79.224.171)
When I was reading a file with read.table("junk.data"), it seg-faulted.
I found out that it seg-faulted when the last line of data file didn't
have the newline char. For example, file like this:
23 3

24 1<EOF>
Here is a fix.

understanding and resolving seg faults
Dear r-devel,
I am mutating rpart to do calculations on trees.
I am trying to extract information from the tree.
However, I got a seg. fault.
This is the offending line in "rpmatrix.c":
deltaI[0][0] = spl->improve;
(Commenting it out cures the seg fault)
I would like some advice on how to debug this. I have allocated memory
with calloc and deltaI[0][0] should be

Seg. faults in mapthin
Hi everyone! I know segmentation faults are awfully hard to diagnose, but
I'm experiencing a fairly regular pattern of seg. faults when plotting using
map in the maps package. Starting R fresh, I run:
require(maps)
for (i in 1:50) {
cat(i, "\n")
map("state")
}
I always get the same result:
