PingTimeout
Hello list, I use tinc with QOS, and since some weeks I got problem with tunnel disconnection because the default "Pingtimeout" of 5 sec is reach. I think it happens because of the QOS shappe the tinc traffic (data here) to let some BP for VOIP, but whate is very strange is that the ICMP protocol is not include in the shapping, so tinc would never 'see' latency on the link,

No connection between nodes on same LAN
Hi all, I am currently deploying tinc as an alternative to OpenVPN. My setup includes a lot of nodes and some of them are sitting together behind the same router on the same network segment. (E.g. connected to the same switch.) I noticed, that those nodes do never talk directly to each other via their private ip-addresses, but instead use the NATed address they got from the router.

Speed issue in only one direction
Hi all, I'm back again with my speed issues. The past issues where dependant of network I used. Now I run my tests in a lab, with 2 configurations linked by a Gigabit switch : node1: Intel Core i5-2400 with Debian 7.2 node2: Intel Core i5-3570 with Debian 7.2 Both have AES and PCLMULQDQ announced in /proc/cpuinfo. I use Tinc 1.1 from Git. When I run an iperf test from node2 (client) to

BF_encrypt & BF_decrypt when using AES ?
Hi, I'm doing some perf profiling, and I can see that BF_encrypt & BF_decrypt of libcrypto.so.1.0.0 (used in tincd) are consuming CPU time. I'm using Tinc 1.0.23 and Cipher = aes-128-cbc BF_encrypt & BF_decrypt seems related to Blowfish (https://www.openssl.org/docs/crypto/blowfish.html). Is it normal that BF functions are used even if AES is used ? I do not know anything about

Tinc encryption with intermediate hosts
Hi I have built a few networks with tinc and feel quite familiar with it. But now I have got a scenario where I can't clearly figure out how things work with tinc: I have two nodes, both of them are in different private networks and visible only to different servers, which have got an internal and an external IP. So my topology looks like this: [n1]->[host1]<-->[host2]<-[n2]

Possible stale .glusterfs/indices/xattrop file?

Possible stale .glusterfs/indices/xattrop file?
Now I understand what you mean the the "-samefile" parameter of "find". As requested I have now run the following command on all 3 nodes with the ouput of all 3 nodes below: sudo find /data/myvolume/brick -samefile /data/myvolume/brick/.glusterfs/29/e0/29e0d13e-1217-41cc-9bda-1fbbf781c397 -ls node1: 8404683 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 66 Jul 27 15:43

Possible stale .glusterfs/indices/xattrop file?
I did a find on this inode number and I could find the file but only on node1 (nothing on node2 and the new arbiternode). Here is an ls -lai of the file itself on node1: -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 32 Jun 19 17:42 fileKey As you can see it is a 32 bytes file and as you suggested I ran a "stat" on this very same file through a glusterfs mount (using fuse) but unfortunately nothing

howto enable ssh on connect to rsync daemon
Hi, I'm trying to setup automatic sync of files over SSH from node2 to node1. node2 is the "server" and node1 is the "client". I have setup rsync like this on the nodes which runs AIX (4.3.3 and 5.1): 1. Installed rsync from Linux Toolbox (rsync-2.5.4-1.aix4.3.ppc.rpm) on both nodes. 2. Added following to both nodes /etc/services file: rsync 873/tcp 3. Added
