VIA C3 Nehemiah Locks Up
Hello, I've got an EPIA-M series motherboard in a system that has locked up twice under random conditions. Nothing is logged to the console or logs, the system just hangs. The system is installed with CentOS 4.4 and running the 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL i686 kernel. I am aware that older C3 processors had the CMOV problem, but that is resolved in the later boards (procinfo below). I've seen a

Problems with power management
I do not seem to be able to get any where with the power management functions. I have had a look at the xenpm Wiki page, but it hasn''t helped. Its probably something completely obvious, but I can''t see it. I running Xen 3.4.0 on Centos 5.3 x86_64 using the gitco RPMs on an Intel S5000PSL motherboard with 2 x Xeon 5410s. PXE: media test failure
Hi ! I'm using PXE to boot a Linux on a DLink DFE-530TX card. Everything worked well until I installed a Windows98 on it (please, foregive me...). Since the Windows drivers for that NIC were installed, I 'm unable to boot PXE, and I get the error: PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable Any clue on how to make PXE work as before ? Motherboard for home zfs/solaris file server
Hello, I am building a home file server and am looking for an ATX mother board that will be supported well with OpenSolaris (onboard SATA controller, network, graphics if any, audio, etc). I decided to go for Intel based boards (socket LGA 775) since it seems like power management is better supported with Intel processors and power efficiency is an important factor. After reading several

[PATCH] Handle MSI irq storm
<<handle_msi_irq_storm.patch>> Hi, Keir, This patch handles MSI irq storm. Unluckily, I have observed this phenomenon again. This will happen when some kind of MSI-X capable NIC is assigned to an HVM guest. The basic idea is to mask the interrupt on receiving the second interrupt and set a timer to unmask after 1ms. Can you have a look and give some comments on that? Thanks! Best
