Hello, I'm trying to build Asterisk12 on a Centos 6.4 VM. The configure script is erring out with: ? checking for uuid_generate_random in -luuid... no checking for uuid_generate_random in -le2fs-uuid... no checking for uuid_generate_random... no configure: error: *** uuid support not found (this typically means the uuid development package is missing) I have installed (using yum) uuid, uuidd

Caller ID issue
Hi list, I'm having a problem with CallerID names not showing up when calls come in. I have dialplan code to store the callerid(name) away and it is blank (null). However, the voicemail variable ${VM_CALLERID} has the name field populated. For example, here is some of the dialplan code: 2. Set(CALLER_ID_INFO_ALL=${CALLERID(all)}) 3. Set(CALLER_ID_INFO_NAME=${CALLERID(name)}) 4.

PostgreSQL 8.3.0 rpm packages for RHEL5/CentOS5
PostgreSQL 8.3.0 was released on February 4, 2008. There are a number of valuable enhancements in this version including Heap Only Tuples and integration of full text search. It is also reputed to provide a performance increase of at least 5% over 8.2.6. As usual, RHEL compatible RPMS are available at postgresql.org. However, there is a new (to me at least) project at http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/

Missing libexif update for Centos5
Hi, could it be that the libexif update to 0.6.13-4.0.2 for Centos5 somehow got forgotten? The updates for Centos4 were released nearly two weeks ago. In the meantime also lots of other updates showed up for both Centos4 and Centos5, but still no libexif update for Centos5. Best regards, Bernd.

udev by-id symlinks randomly missing for tape drives on centos5
Hello! I'm having problems with udev /dev/tape/by-id/ symlinks.. it seems symlinks to tape drives are sometimes (randomly) missing after reboot. Server in question has IBM TS3200 tape library connected with 2 drives in it.. so /proc/scsi/scsi shows 3 devices: 2 tape drives, and 1 medium changer (tape library). So I should have 3 symlinks in /dev/tape/by-id/ directory.. 2 symlinks to tape

lead time for RPM's?
Hi all Usually I build asterisk from source, but recently have been doing a couple of test installations with packages from the Digium repository. About how long does it take to get from new release announcement into the Digium RPM repository? Specifically 1.8.4 CentOS hasn't made it to the rpm repository yet. Cassius
