A little help with yum.d repo files
I'm new to CentOS. I was running Fedora core 3 before I installed CentOS
5.0.
I'm looking at the files in CentOS /etc/yum.d and the same files in
Fedora 3. I'm a little confused as I have never looked at yum before. I
now have a full time connection so now I can use yum.
I have been looking for supported rpms for XEmacs and Gnucash.
What repos do I need to add to obtain these two

etc/cron.daily/yum.cron:

** Message: sqlite cache needs updating, reading in metadata
I have run "yum clean dbcache" each time I see this. What am I missing?

Yum not updating kernel
I'm having the same problem as Valent Turkovic. I have the
following /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo (mind the line-wraps):
[base]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Base
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=
$basearch&repo=os
#baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/os/$basearch/
gpgcheck=1

Need a package
I have rpms for xemacs 21.5.27-8.fc8. I *think* they will work on Centos
5? If not I can get the sources. However, at this point, I have one of
those dependency hell problem. I need, for now, libtinfo. Does anyone
now what package it is in?
Thanks,
Bob

Wiki EditGroup request.
Hi all, I'd like to get added to the EditGroup for wiki.centos.org and
perhaps projects.centos.org.
I'm interested in adding content periodically throughout wiki.centos;
most likely in the HOWTO areas, but am happy to do reorganization and
cleanup as-needed.
On the projects side I'd like to create a project for the i586 on
CentOS 5 section.
Thanks,
Ray

HP DL140G2 and SATA woes
Posted a similar version of this to the RHEL4 list...
I''m having trouble getting CentOS 4.2 installed on a DL140G2 with two SATA
drives. I am doing a PXE install, so I do not have a CD-ROM drive in the
system and this appears to have the side-effect that both SATA drives are
caught by the Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver before ata_piix can catch
it.
As soon as I hook an IDE CD-ROM

Sending ANI over SIP
I'm running into an issue where subscribers to our service cannot call certain
1-800 numbers if they have a caller id blocked account (restrictcid=yes).
This is on Asterisk 1.0.9 and our clients are using Sipura SPA-2002's.
Our provider uses a SIP/PSTN gateway, so we hand off SIP to them from
Asterisk.
The problem appears to be that when an "Anonymous" call goes out, there is

No installed updated kernels via yum
Subject says it all. Running yum install kernel or yum install
kernel-2.6.18-53.1.13.el5.i686.rpm gives "nothing to do". Yum runs daily
via cron. Last kernel installed in /boot via yum is:
Sep 27 16:38 vmlinuz-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5
/etc/yum.conf contains:
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
keepcache=1
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log

Request for hplip upgrade
My wife purchased an HP Deskjet F340 all-in-one printer last year.
CentOS 5 includes hplip-1.6.7. I need at least hplip-2.7.10 which I have
had to install via tarball. Is there any plans to update this package
soon?
Thanks

Need suggestions on solution for central Asterisk server and multiple private networks.
I am in the process of building up an Asterisk-based voice network using
PAP2-NA SIP clients from Linksys. Our network consists of several
disconnected private networks (unaware of each other), and are all proxied out
to the Internet via a Linux server. Our Asterisk PBX lies on the Internet on
yet another network.
I'm hoping to get all SIP clients (PAP2-NA's) to register at the central
