Question about MaxRetries in the Asterisk Outgoing folder
I'm doing some automated calling by putting .call files in the Outgoing folder of Asterisk. I'm concerned this might be a stupid question, but I'm pretty sure I've done my research well and I'm unable to come up with an answer on my own. I want to know: what happens to the .call files after the "MaxRetries" number has been reached? In my experience, they stay in the

I have setup a trunk on Asterisk 11.7 to an Avaya Session Manager. Every time I try to send a call over it, the call gets rejected. Here is the sip debug trace. idmap uid range 10000-20000: pam_winbind does NOT work ?
Hi all! Again, unexpected behaviour! When I set in smb.conf idmap uid = 10000-20000 idmap gid = 10000-20000 I CAN change and SEE domain users ang groups as I change the owner of a file on Unix: chown domain+user ./test.txt chgrp domain+group ./test.txt ls -l /tmp -rw-r--r-- 1 user group 0 Feb 4 20:25 test.txt <- I SEE DOMAIN USER AND GROUP BUT I'm NOT able to telnet or ftp

some shares in browselist not showing up in spite of browseable = yes
Hello, In my smb.conf (or actually, in "committees.conf" included from smb.conf, a defined share does not show up in the browselist, nor any other share defined AFTER that particular one (either in that file or in smb.conf after the include statement). The shares are accessable though (when mapped to a drive letter or used as UNC). Ofcourse I tried to look for odd

OT: Installing munin-node cleanly in spite of RPM
Hi, This is totally off-topic (it''s an rpm/rpmbuild problem), but I want to get to a point where I''m installing and configuring munin-node with puppet. To do that, I need a clean, standardized way of installing munin-mode on CentOS (RHELish) boxes. I could install munin-node from source via puppet and probably make enough edits that all the files end up in reasonable locations

Computations slow in spite of large amounts of RAM.
Hi all, I am a beginner trying to use R to work with large amounts of oceanographic data, and I find that computations can be VERY slow. In particular, computational speed seems to depend strongly on the number and size of the objects that are loaded (when R starts up). The same computations are significantly faster when all but the essential objects are removed. I am running R on a machine

Error While Calling AGI
Hello All, Found some strange problem while Asterisk trying to call the AGI file. If I pick up the call on the first attempt, it will execute my AGI file properly. But if I don't pick up the call and let Asterisk call me again, it adds StartRetry next to my AGI file name. Which will cause the AGI to fail to execute. -- Attempting call on SIP/5181 for application AGI(recordvoice.php)

PV DomU stopped responding, won't boot, stuck in paused state
Yesterday, I had a PV OpenSolaris DomU stop responding. I looked on my xen machine and it was in a paused state. I ended up destroying it and then doing xm create to bring it back up. It won''t boot, and I think PyGrub is hanging. Not sure how to resolve this, there aren''t any errors being presented in xen/xm itself. If I try ''xm create config.conf'' it just

help - user password expiration in loop
Hi everybody, I think i need a samba guru to solve this issue, because googling for months did not help and the problem is becoming pressing. I'm facing an annoying problem with samba. In detail, there is something wrong with the password handling. It happens from windows, mac or linux clients. Randomly (probably after $num days), the system asks to the user to change the password. After the

Callback through extensions.conf?
Hello I'd like to configure Asterisk so that... 1. I ring it from my cellphone with CID number displayed, just to notify Asterisk that I wish to make a call 2. Asterisk waits until I hang up, calls me back, and prompts me for the number I wish to call 3. Asterisk puts me on hold through Flash(), which is apparently the equivalent of hitting the R key on European handsets 4. Asterisk calls the

I have two units at customer locations in the Caribbean registering to a server in the US. Both units are connected to the Cable TV company's internet feed. If I run mtr to the units I see clean internet and low latency, but when I watch the CLI, I see constant problems. The audio quality is terrible, but I can't see why. Strange delay in syscall close() on a large ext3-filesystem
Dear Mailinglist, this morning I had a very strange problem with my SuSE Groupware-Server SLOX 4.1. The webmail-access was very slow and even with thunderbird the access to my mailboxes was not okay. I rebooted the whole system, but the problem still was there. I thought, this may be a problem with cyrusd, but I realized, that the error was somewhere deeper in the system, maybe in the

mongrel_cluster: selective restarts
Hi list, I have tried to reach Bradley (author of mongrel_cluster) by mail, but have not gotten a response. So I''ll try trough this channel: I have ''developed''[1] a small extension to mongrel_cluster that allows selective restart of any one listener in a configuration that contains more than one listener by using a command like mongrel_rails
