Kernel and DAHDI
Hi, I have noticed it for a while but I just thought about confirming this with the Asterisk community. As the compilation of DAHDI will need to reference Kernel-devel, does it mean that after DAHDI is installed, we should not yum update kernel because it will affect the operation of DAHDI? Thanks. PrivacyManager no longer working properly
Hi all, Previously, I had the PrivacyManager working for me exactly as would be expected, but after upgrading the OS to Debian lenny and Asterisk to v1.4.21.2 that's no longer the case. Anonymous callers are still confronted with the PrivacyManager, but now no matter what I set the minlength value to, e.g.: exten => jaap,n,PrivacyManager(1,1) ... (I'm not using a

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
I have ported ASan in LLVM to Myriad RTEMS, and I would like to upstream the port. Below is the design doc. Feedback welcome. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oxmk0xUojybDaQDAuTEVpHVMi5xQX74cJPyMJbaSaRM The port is expected to work with modified versions of RTEMS and newlib. I have a git repo with changes to those projects, that I can make available if there is interest. Here is the patch

Deadlock in Asterisk 1.4.29.1
Hello, I have previously open a topic on the mailing list about deadlocking on Asterisk 1.2.35. After upgrading to 1.4.29.1 we still experienced the same problem : Mar 5 12:05:56] DEBUG[8647] channel.c: Avoiding initial deadlock for channel '0xb7689840' [Mar 5 12:06:41] DEBUG[7130] channel.c: Avoiding deadlock for channel '0xb7c04788' [Mar 5 12:06:41] DEBUG[7130]

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hi Walter, I've done a first quick scan. Overall looks reasonable, but I'd like to try reducing the number of newly introduced platform-specific ifs. Vitaly, please also take a look (once my initial comments are addressed). One outstanding issue is your problem with initialization vs checking, which requires you to insert so many ifs. Is there any chance you can avoid this? If you

Reload in 1.4 clears regexten
Ok, I could have sworn this was fixed in Asterisk 1.2, but it seems in Asterisk 1.4.4, that doing a reload, or even an 'extensions reload' will clear any extensions that have been created by regexten. This is VERY bad! Doug. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hey, I work on fuchsia symbolizer stuff. I don't know if you guys already have an external symbolizer but I'm working on making one right now and I plan on making one backed by LLVM that can be run host-side or target-side. I'd like to contribute that back to llvm ideally. What do you guys have so far? I have a prototype in golang that just spins up an instance of llvm-symbolizer

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hi Jake. Thanks for the info. Where can I keep up to date on the symbolizer status? Our symbolizer is provided by the Myriad vendor and integrated into its host test environment. It doesn't do much: just look for PC string patterns and symbolize them using addr2line. Thanks, Walter On Fri, May 4, 2018 at 5:36 PM Jake Ehrlich <jakehehrlich at google.com> wrote: > Hey, > I

ASan port for Myriad RTEMS
Hi Kostya. Thanks for the quick feedback. I will work on addressing your comments. In regard to initialization checks, I can eliminate most of them by initializing the shadow memory very early, but I still need to do something in two places, __asan_handle_no_return and GetFakeStackFast. Would it be ok to have guards for those two places only? Walter On Fri, May 4, 2018 at 6:10 PM Kostya

POTS supervision with DAHDI in 1.4 releases
Greetings, This may be a dumb question, but here goes. When I was on 1.4.21.2 using Zaptel, I had (at least as far as I could tell) access to line supervision on my POTS lines using a TDM400P/TDM410P. Since upgrading to the DAHDI branches of 1.4 (SVN and 1.4.26.1), I've only been able to duplicate the success of the 1.4.21 functionality once. To test what I'm talking

samba4wins nbd_server implementation & configuration
Hi, Confused and bewildered as usual, so ask the guys who know. samba4wins is now implemented and part of the samba4 package? Is there a configuration guide? I guess nbd_server needs to be part of the equation so could you point to some resources on setup as I don't think I have noticed anything in the wiki? Probably just me :) Many Thanks Stuart

Sigh. inst x, y gas use x and possibly y, operates according to inst and puts the result in y. Intel lives with the misconception this should mean use y and possibly x, operate according to inst and put the result in x. If you come from gas background the first

Cannot install dahdi-linux on (old) PAE kernel.
I am trying to install dahdi-linux from packages onto an OEL5u3 server which has an old kernel (5.2.6.18_128) and is a PAE variant. As there are no kmod packages now available for this kernel I am having to build them from source packages. I have installed the dahdi-firmware-2.0.0-1_centos5 RPM directly. I have downloaded the following SRPMS dahdi-linux-2.4.1.2-1_centos5.src.rpm

Trouble with regexten
Can anyone help with the use of regexten? (* 1.4.3) I've got Asterisk creating extensions for my SIP phones using regexten but I can't seem to figure out how to make use of them once they're registered. Here's my dialplan for from-sip (the SIP's default context): asterisk*CLI> dialplan show from-sip [ Context 'from-sip' created by 'pbx_config' ]
