Bug 15899 - Omitted 'extern' on 'R_running_as_main_program' after refactor can cause linker errors for applications embedding R
Is there any plans for addressing the regression...

R callbacks
Hi,
I'm trying to understand (mostly from the R-exts manual) how to use
the callbacks declared in Rinterface.h. As a first attempt, I'm trying
to redefine ptr_R_WriteConsole in a very trivial manner. Here's my
code:
---------------
$ cat altr.c
int Rf_initialize_R(int ac, char **av);
#define R_INTERFACE_PTRS 1
#include <Rinterface.h>
extern int R_running_as_main_program;

back port of Bug 15899 fix missing from R 3.2.1 RC release!!!
Is there a reason why the fix for Bug 15899 - Omitted 'extern' on

applications embedding R...

Plot window does not update in embedded code
Dear list,
I am trying to embed R into a C++ program. After some tinkering,
reading the documentation and browsing the source code I have this
more or less working. A very very condensed and very simplified
version of the code is included below.
The program can create plots. However, after the plot is initially
drawn it is no longer updated. When scaling or updating the plot the
window becomes

Definition of uintptr_t in Rinterface.h
The problem is elsewhere - Rinterface.h guards the ultima-ratio fallback with HAVE_UINTPTR_T but that config flag is not exported in Rconfig.h. Should be now fixed in R-devel - please check if that works for you.
Thanks,
Simon

Rconfig.h would be appropriate if Rinterface.h is being included from C
code using the same compiler as used for R. But as Rinterface.h

Definition of uintptr_t in Rinterface.h
Hi,
I was recently pointed out that a definition in Rinterface.h can be conflicting
with a definition in stdint.h:
/usr/include/R/Rinterface.h has:
typedef unsigned long uintptr_t;
/usr/include/stdint.h has:
typedef unsigned int uintptr_t;
(when 32bit platform complete definition is:
#if __WORDSIZE == 64
# ifndef __intptr_t_defined
typedef long int intptr_t;

R292 on AIX53 using gcc
I apologize for cross posting this message in the R-help group as well. Having posted it there a couple of hours ago, I felt this may be a more appropriate forum for a question of this type.
Hello -- I am unable to build R 2.9.2 on IBM PowerPC AIX5.3. I would appreciate
any help in this matter.

RExcel waiting for OLE action
When I run a macro that uses RExcel, I get a dialog box that says
"Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE
action."
There is no error in the RExcel commands in the macro, of that I am sure.
The box appears to be related to the inclusion of RunRFile commands.
The macro will run through the second RunRFile command, but will not

Statconnector and Excel
Hi,
I'm trying to combine a VBA macro and a R package. I've installed the R-(D)COM and the R-excel interface by Neuwirth. They seem to work both. However I would like to display the r-generated data in an Excel sheet as an array but I don't manage.
Here is an example of my source:
Sub doR()
Call RInterface.StartRServer
Call RInterface.RRun("library(mdnn)")
