Can not login with key-exchange is chrooted sftp environment
Hi, We need to allow log in based on public key generated using ssh-keygen (rsa key) for SFTP with chroot (internal sftp). I am not able to log in with just key exchange. I can login using password. I am able to log-in with out password for an ssh session unlike sftp session. Is there a way to login with key-exchange only for internal-sftp with chroot? Here is the trace OpenSSH_3.9p1, OpenSSL

Attempts to connect to Axway SFTP server result in publickey auth loopin
We are attempting to use openssh sftp to connect to a server that is running some version of the Axway SFTP server. After a publickey auth completes, the server resends publickey as a valid auth. This results in a loop as openssh sftp resubmits the publickey information. This seems similar to a discussion in 2014 that terminated with the thought that it might be nice if the client tracked

ChrootDirectory - SFTP subsystem works fine but SSH hangs
Hi I'm using Centos 5 with Openssh-5.0p1 installed (and OpenSSL 0.98b and Zlib 1.2.3-3). I've managed to get a chroot'd SFTP session using ChrootDirectory and the new built-in SFTP subsystem. However, when I use SSH to connect to the same account the session hangs rather than closing the connection. This happens whether or not I use /sbin/nologin /bin/false or even /bin/sh

Where to look next?
Thanks for your suggestion! It seems to have gone a little further this time, but isn't accepting the key and is failing back on password-based auth. We're double-checking that the public key was correctly configured with the account, and also trying a DSA key to see if it behaves differently. Is there anything you'd suggest we look at or try at this point, and thank you very much

setting umask for internal-sftp users
I'm running OpenSSH 5.1p1 on openSUSE 10.3 (i586) and I want to setup chroot jails for certain SFTP-only users. I use the following lines in my sshd_config file: Match Group sftponly ChrootDirectory /home/chroot-%u ForceCommand internal-sftp It works great. The problem is that some of my users need umask 002 for their uploads. I tried a few ways to achieve this: * set umask in sshrc,

Problems with sftp under SCO OpenServer
Hello, I compiled OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 for SCO OpenServer 5.0.5, HPUX B.11.00, and SunOS 5.7. When I sftp into the HP or Sun box, everything works fine. However, whenever I sftp into the OpenServer box, all remote filenames are shown as "(null)". File sizes, owners, etc. display properly. This behavior is exhibited from all origination points. OpenSSH was configured with identical
