Win95 Issue
For some reason I'm getting Access denied errors when I try to execute a .bat file that resides on a samba share (from a Win95 command prompt). The drive is mapped as x:\ & for the sake of testing, the directory has been recursively set to 777 (chmod). Command prompt output: x:\> x:\r235\src\ntprpst\sharc\mta\src\build_sharc_fta.bat Access denied -

Centos 7 | Rebind ctrl + alt + f# keystroke to application
Hello, I am new to Centos and this mailing list. I have an application (IntelliJ IDEA) which uses the ctrl+alt+f# key combinations to provide shortcuts. The keystrokes are bind to the ttys virtual consoles. Is there anyway to rebind the keystrokes to the application? I tried the following solution (xorg.conf edit) but my PC freezes during boot process. I had to rollback the xorg.conf changes

Runing a script under cron. Append stdout and stderr to a log file, propagate stderr back to cron for email reporting
Dear List, I want to run a rsync-ing script in cron, generating a very verbose -vv rsync log in a log file. The log file should combine both stderr and stdin, which is easy: backup.sh >>/var/log/backup.log 2>&1 However, I would like to propagate only stderr to cron - in case there has been an error, cron will mail me the assembled stderr output. I tried the following: $

Duplicate value used in disconnect reason definitons
I could not find anything in the mailing list archive or bug tracker. In ssh2.h, the value (4) is re-used 148 #define SSH2_DISCONNECT_KEY_EXCHANGE_FAILED 3 149 #define SSH2_DISCONNECT_HOST_AUTHENTICATION_FAILED 4 150 #define SSH2_DISCONNECT_RESERVED 4 151 #define SSH2_DISCONNECT_MAC_ERROR 5 Is this intentional? $stderr and $stdout are send as part of http response
I am stuck with this issue for some time and I need your help/thoughts. I am using Ruby 1.8.3 and Rails 0.14.2, running on Linux (Fedora) and lighttpd. When ever there is an exception while parsing RSS feeds or Webservice call, error messages and logs are shown on the browser. This happens only when there is an exception thrown and on Linux. lighttpd has write access to the log files. Am I

Send login messages to stderr not stdout
Hi all. The old (~3.6.x) PAM code used to send PAM messages to stderr, whereas the new generic loginmsg code sends them to stdout, and it sends an extra newline. I think stderr is probably right, but the extra \n should probably be removed either way. -- Darren Tucker (dtucker at zip.com.au) GPG key 8FF4FA69 / D9A3 86E9 7EEE AF4B B2D4 37C9 C982 80C7 8FF4 FA69 Good judgement comes with
