Using idmap_rid backend, cannot browse home directory from XP
Samba version is 3.0.10 on Gentoo linux. I am trying
to use idmap_rid backend in a Windows AD environment,
the Linux PC acting only as a domain member. I am
using idmap_rid because I need UID/GID predictability.
I can log in to console correctly, and it shows the
right user and the "Domain Users" as the group.
When I use default winbind TDB, I can browse the home

Re: Installing tcp/ssh drivers for libvirt
Hi Eric,
I'm trying to install the drivers on XenServer 6.0.2 and on Centos 5.2/6.4.
I downloaded libvirt 1.1.3. So, if I try to configure w/ xen and libxl,
the configure script errors out saying -
configure: error: You must install the libxl Library from Xen >= 4.2 to
compile libxenlight driver with -lxl
btw, I am trying to compile this on XenServer6.0.2 itself, and plan to use

R, AIX 64-bit builds - trying to understand root cause for message: "Error: Line starting 'Package: tools ...' is malformed!"
The bulk is on my forums - the final post for today is:
Results to date:
A. It looks like I am going to need a newer compiler for C - xlc/xlC V11
apparently does not understand this code:
"/data/prj/cran/R-3.2.3/src/main/memory.c", line 2149.31: 1506-046 (S)
Syntax error.
I will have to check if R-devel has different code before asking for
assistence.

Installing tcp/ssh drivers for libvirt
Hello,
Can somebody please point me to documentation regarding installing libvirt
and the associated drivers from .rpms? I tried to compile from sources,
but not sure where can I get the drivers from. What I get from the
./configure script is the following -
configure:71547: Drivers
configure:71549:
configure:71551: Xen: no
configure:71553: QEMU: yes
configure:71555: UML: yes

install.packages() failed
I use Mac. I installed R with the download from R-project, so R is in /usr/bin/R.
My TclTk library is installed via fink (although I don't remember I intentionally
installed it) so libtk8.4.dylib is in /sw/lib.
I tried to install the HDF5 package from within R:
>install.packages('hdf5')
and it failed like this
