VisualHostKey vs. RekeyLimit vs. VerifyHostKeyDNS
Hello list, I'm not sure whether this is bug worthy or just my own
insanity. I'm using 6.4p1 packages from Debian jessie and
wheezy-backports.
I like VisualHostKey, although it may not add any protection (other than
not trusting ones own known_hosts file?), I've become accustomed to it
as it seems that extra neurons fire when I log into a host and get a
visual cue of what looks like

Really supress output from Sweave
Hi,
I am using Sweave for chapters in my thesis that contain results.
In the beginning of each chapter, I use this to load libraries I need.
<<init,echo=FALSE,quiet=TRUE>>=
library(gplots)
library(Hmisc)
library(e1071)

What I want is, of course, to supress messages written by this code,
but what I get in the end is X-init.tex with this the contents below.

Many normal inbound calls are direcly routed to the hicom.
Outbound calls from the Hicom go through LCR and then to PSTN.

How to supress field name in error message?
Hi
How do I supress the reporting of a field name in the full error
message? I want the error to be associated with the field so that the
.fieldWithErrors class is applied to the field but I don''t want it to
add the field name to the actual error message.
For example:
errors.add("occurs_on", "The date can''t be today!") unless occurs_on
!= Date.today

DAHDI: How to supress notification of changing CallerID on transfer?
Hello out there,
I'm running an Asterisk 1.8.15-cert1 with DAHDI.
Today I noticed that Asterisk is signalling to the calling party the
current internal CallerID whenever I put a call to another internal phone.
Example:
Customer calls 020212345-555
-> IVR answers and puts caller to the chosen queue
-> Someone picks up the phone (Internal ext. 321)
-> CallerID shown on customers

specific Host not overriding global Host
My config file contains
Host *
VisualHostKey yes
Host app
VisualHostKey no
however when I ssh into app I still see the VisualHostKey.
It is my understanding that the more specific host should override the
global defaults. When I asked on IRC they told me to report the issue
to this mailing list.
I know my version of OpenSSH is old, but I checked bugzilla and did
not see any bug reports about

Fedora Core 3 and Mail.app problems
Hello,
first thanks for all the work, I appreciate the attention to security
:-)
I have a performance issue I am trying to solve. On my new server it
would appear that synchronizing changes between the client and server
is taking longer then my previous setup. I have recently upgraded from
my old server to a new home (the basis for my comparison),

supress access to the /etc/passwd
Hi,
I've just install samba 2.2 with ldap support, it is working just fine.
I've create some samba users using smbpasswd and they are inserted into the ldap directory.
But, I was wondering if it was possible to delegate the full authentification process to ldap. That's to say completely remove any information from /etc/passwd?
Thanks.

Can you supress warnings when running rake?
Anyone know how to turn off warnings when running unit tests with rake? I
keep getting a bunch of messages like this:
warning: already initialized constant ALL_CONTENT
Which is a constant in one of my models.
thanks,
Dave

Howto Supress Extra Blank Page in gridBase
Dear all,
I have a simple plot using "gridBase" like this.
The problem occurs whenever I execute this code
there is always a blank page created before the actual plot.
How can we disable that blank page?
I am using: R version 2.7.2 (2008-08-25)
and gridBase version: 0.4-3
__ BEGIN__
library(grid)
library(gridBase)
opar <- par(no.readonly=TRUE)
par(opar)
grid.newpage()
