Pretec Allegro does not appear to play Oggs
Can I change the wiki? The box claims it plays oggs, the tech. specs. in the booklet claims it plays oggs, *some* places on the website claims it supports oggs, but it doesn't actually play my oggs. Can I move it to a "misadvertised" section, or a "rumours" section, or what can I do to indicate this to other people, so they don't accidentaly buy it? Hugo

Why do not prevent users from creating a local copy of c() ?
Hi all, sometime in the past I accidentaly created a copy of the c() primitive function inside my ``laboratory'' workspace, which I normally use to experiment and learn. As a consequence, c() stopped to work correctly and started to return lists of symbols instead of vectors, and today I had to spend much time to seek out that the problem was in that specific workspace (if only I had

Scriptaculous - chaining effects.
I have an element where I do a BlindDown on mouse over and a BlindUp on mouse out... The problem I am seeing is if I take my mouse off befor the first blind down is all the way down, the blind flickers and it is competing at lowering and raising the blind simultaneously. I assume (hoping) there is some way to ether : 1) Have blind up wait till blind down is finished befor going back up

Is it possible to prevent users from ever deleting anything?
Hi, dear dovecot-users, is it possible to make dovecot ignore the DELETE command for some accounts? Basically what I want to achieve is: users shall not be able to delete their emails - but they still should be able write emails. This is meant for a setup where different users are sending and receiving emails for a "support" account. I looked into IMAP virtual folders and ACL but I

Antivirus for CentOS? (yuck!)
Hi All, Yes, I know, it's really really embarrassing to have to ask but I'm being pushed to the wall with PCI DSS Compliance procedure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_DSS) and have to either justify why we don't need to install an anti-virus or find an anti-virus to run on our CentOS 5 servers. Whatever I do - it needs to be convincing enough to make the PCI compliance guy tick the

[samba4] DNS updates
Hi all, I would like to be able to rely on samba given tools to manage my DNS entries but until now, I failed. >From what I have understood there is one and only one tool responsible to update DNS: samba_dnsupdate. Is that previous affirmation true? I had issue with DNS backend set to internal DNS server: samba_dnsupdate was almost never working. So I switched to Bind-DLZ as advised here

[LLVMdev] some llvm/clang missed optimizations
A few random observations: 1. Clang could do better with large but boring switches like this: http://embed.cs.utah.edu/embarrassing/jan_10/harvest/source/E8/E88C5111.shtml Performance of clang's output will be fine but this is a major code size lose. 2. Destruction of stupid loops is incomplete, sometimes due to phase ordering problems:

missing symbol
Hi, when pushing libguestfs 1.27.53 (1:1.27.53-1) through my build setup befor uploading it to Debian, I noticed that "guestfs_internal_lstatlist@Base", a symbol that has been there since 1.20, is now missing. This causes dpkg-gensymbols(1) whose job it is to compare the symbols from the newly-built libraries to the known state to fail. If the guestfs_internal_* functions are not

Phabricator/Arcanist feedback
Hi, I recently tried reviewing/committing some of my code on Phabricator/Arcanist for the first time and I noticed that the docs [1] ask for feedback, so here it is! Phabricator functions reasonably well and it is a lot easier to write comments and respond to comments on particular parts of code as opposed to the old way of copy and pasting patches into e-mails sent to llvm-commits. Two minors
