logging details
Are there plans to expand the logging capabilities in OpenSSH, so that the details of what files were moved using sftp is included? If not, does anyone know of a good way to capture this information? 'asymmetric span' for 2D loess?
Hello, I am interested in performing a 2D loess smooth on microarray data, i.e. log2 ratios on a 2D grid, using different spans in the horizontal and vertical directions (the immediate reason being that replicate spots are laid out in the horizontal direction). Is it possible to do this in R? Functions like loess(stats) seem to apply the same span for all predictors, which carries over to

SDL display of HVMs -- how?
I''m having some trouble working out how to make the SDL interface for HVM domUs appear. The documentation simply says "it will appear" when you start the domU, but doesn''t state what packages or libraries are needed in order for this magic to happen, or explain how to debug it if it doesn''t happen. All that I''m getting at the moment is a domU (running

Shorewall 4.0.15
Shorewall 4.0.15 is now available from shorewall.net, SourceForge and Debian Sid. Additionally, I have updated my Debian Etch repository with 4.0.15 packages. Problems Corrected in Shorewall 4.0.15. 1) Beginning with iptables version 1.4.1, the syntax for commands using the conntrack module has changed. Shorewall now detects if the installed version of iptables requires the new

Call "stuck" in queue
Asterisk 11.1.0 One queue with strategy=leastrecent. (Full queues.conf below.) Occasionally (several times today), a caller will get "stuck" in the queue - there are operators available to take the call, but the caller stays in the queue for a long time. Any idea what might cause this, or where I can start looking to debug it? I'm going to start digging through the queue log

Count the number of consecutive 1's
Hi All, We have a raw dataset that, on the sampling time column, for example: t <- c(0,1,2,5,0,5,0,2,5) And we need to create a second column that indicates the day of the sampling, so the end result of what we want is a vector: 1,1,1,1,2,2,3,3,3 Additional information that might simplify the matter is that, for each day, the time starts with zero and ends with 5. I am a beginner with R.? So

statistical advice
Hello, I am a researcher in sleep and circadian rhythms who is having much trouble deciding on proper statistical analyses. Before I state my question, I provide a brief synopsis of the looming problem; I am interested in activity bout distributions across a 24 hr day. In addition to looking at the number of activity bouts across the day, I am also interested in the duration of each activity

apply with multiple conditions
Hello all, I have written a for loop to act on a dataframe with close to 3million rows and 6 columns and I would like to pass it to apply() to speed the process up (I let the loop run for 2 days before stopping it and it had only gone through 200,000 rows) but I am really struggling to find a way to pass the arguments. Below are the loop and the head of the dataframe I am working on. Any hints

FW: [newtech-1] Skype 24 Hour Rolling Analytics
While not asterisk specific related - would be interesting to see something similar done against straight voip calls. You could maybe plot it against e.164.org polls but I think this would be too small a sample set. Can anyone think of something else Asterisk related we could plot this against? Cheers, Dean http://deancollinsblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/skype-24-hour-rolling-analyt ics.html

Continuous pings going through a full DROP policy
For a same configuration in which the default policy is drop and only one connection is accepted in rules, continuous pinging to devices will stop squarely in 4.0.15 as soon as a very basic firewall is enabled whereas in 4.4.26.1, pinging will still continue after the firewall is enabled. All tests are done with proper reboot of the unit3 where the firewall is applied: unit1 <---> eth4
