AD logins fail
I migrated my config to a new server, and now logins against the AD
server are failing.
If I try the correct password, I get:
check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [yans] -> [yans] FAILED
with error NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER
But if I try with a wrong password I get:
check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [yans] -> [yans] FAILED

Wikipedia plots and tables?
Hello, All:
What facilities exist for plots and tables of data in the
standard MediaWiki software beyond the obvious standards?
The standard MediaWiki tables and graphics capabilities seem to
me to be rather clumsy, and I wonder if I'm missing some available
extensions?
The standard MediaWiki tables are described in a Wikipedia
article on "Help:Table".

mediawiki-1.4.7-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm requirements.
Guys,
I'm migrating an internal Mediawiki over to a new CentOS 4 system. The
old server's running FC3 and has a tarball install, ideally I want to
stick to properly packaged software as far as possible.
[wmcdonald at willspc ~]$ yum deplist mediawiki
Finding dependencies:
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files

w.r.t. firstname lastname
I try not to post my real name on the internet. I'm basically asking
for commit access for user sub page space for formatting, & staging of
documents for management review. When I'm actually @ linbit ill
probably start the motions to have an official account something like
"linbit-usa" to publish the works under. I'm used to mediawiki,
moinmoin wiki is new to me.

wordpess can't connect to DB but mediawiki can
Hey guys,
I'm running both a wordpress site as well as a mediawiki off of the same
web servers. The mediawiki site works great! The wordpress site, meh. Not
so much. I keep getting the common database connection error:
Error establishing a database connection
And as far as I can tell the settings between the mediawiki site and the
wordpress site are nearly identical.
Here's the media

help with json data from the web into data frame in R
That said, I have two issues to ask for help with:
1) how to ignore cert errors with a fromJSON call
And
2) why the json data from the example link doesn't convert to a data frame. As seen in the following example
library("rjson")
result <- fromJSON(file =

Yeah that's true. But this list tends to be rather helpful for general
problems that are less specific to centos. Sometimes. :) Really seems to
depend...
Incidentally I am using centos on all hosts:
#cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 7.0.1406 (Core)

db.example.com is a load balanced VIP. The VIP is being handled by
keepalived and HA/Proxy. There are two DB's setup in master/master
replication. The two databases and two load balancers are on AWS. The web
server and varnish servers are on digital ocean.

help with json data from the web into data frame in R
[non-tabular json data] -- ok.. so I think I need to figure out how to make it tabular. Thanks!
[curl] -- I was hoping there was a cleaner way to do it.. using R to evoke cURL to get the data as text and then passing it into getJSON seems to be what I need to do.
Do you by chance have an simple example of using RCurl to get a response ignoring cert errors?

If you can do it with curl, then why aren't you doing one of a) a system call, b) installing and loading RCurl, c) installing and loading curl (the R package with that

help with json data from the web into data frame in R
Regarding the question:
From the linux shell I use the "-k" switch with cURL to ignore cert errors.. is there an equivalent in the R world?
I have (sometimes) had success by creating a .curlrc file and putting the necessary curl options in it. When R invokes curl, curl picks up the options.
[my context was running install.packages( method='curl' ) pointing to a local

Web server in a sandbox?
I'd like to understand better the sysadmin aspects of running a wiki. I
don't have, and don't intend to at this stage, a web server, but I do have
spare capacity on my LAN server box, where I'd like to install MediaWiki. I
found this article:

Would it be straightforward to follow those

help with json data from the web into data frame in R
Right. I'm trying to access a server within my organization which has a cert error that I cannot fix.
The example link I provided was to a site on the web that does not have the cert error.
From the linux shell I use the "-k" switch with cURL to ignore cert errors.. is there an equivalent in the R world?
