Managing a Samba4 AD DC using a Win7 workstation
Hello, I just installed Samba4 using the following doc : http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO Everything works Ok. All tests are Ok. Now, I would like to manage it from a remote Windows7 Virtualbox workstation. For that, I followed the following doc : http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_management_from_windows I installed the RSAT component but when trying to connect the

Conditionnal shutdown
Hello, Being new to this list and to Nut, maybe my question has been asked before but I didn't find a clear answer. My question is : is it possible to make nut aware of the percentage (or duration) of time before the UPS exhausts its power ? Thus making Nut conditionning the shutdown of the servers depending on the remaining load. I saw this thread on the mailing list :

Quota support in Samba4
Hi, Is it possible to handle quota management on a samba4 share ? To be more precise, is it possible to have the same quota management as in Windows File Servers. Questions about using Winbind to auth linux users
Hi there, I have some questions about authenticating linux users against Active Directory 2003 using winbind. My server is a member of an AD 2003 domain. It is running Samba Version 3.0.23c-2.el5.2.0.2 on a RHEL5. First of all, authentication is working. But I have some smaller issues : * wbinfo -u is very, very slow when dumping AD users. About 30 seconds. Whereas wbinfo -g is instantaneous.

Experienced Samba+Ldap+ACL in Windows TSE context ?
Hello list ! All is in the subject. I'd like to have your opinion for such a migration. We'd like to replace a Windows NT4 PDC wich authenticate TSE users in a domain that contains ~250 users. The backend would be an LDAP base and we would like to use ACL to control access to the files. Any return of informations ? Thanks for your help. -- Emmanuel Lesouef

Do you have any pointer or explanatations ? Thanks Emmanuel

Root forest/regional forest set up...
Hi list, All the docs I've seen use a combined root forest/regional setup, whereas I'd like to have separate regional trees under an essentially empty root forest. How does this work? If it matters, I'll be migrating a Samba3 NT-style PDC to provision the regional forest. Links to relevant docs or any info appreciated. Thanks! -John

Annotate forest plot 'forest.rma()' for meta-analysis with metafor package
Dear R-experts, The forest.rma() function from the metafor package creates nice forest plots for presenting the results of a meta-analysis. These plots can be annotated for e.g. giving names to the columns. E.g. as in the documentation of the package: data(dat.bcg) ### meta-analysis of the log relative risks using a random-effects model res <- rma(ai=tpos, bi=tneg, ci=cpos, di=cneg,

[LLVMdev] Unable to catch Win64 exceptions that occur in the mcjit(ted) code
Hi all, In my MSVC-compiled project I am using MCJIT to run some generated code. I faced that in case of Win64 ('x86_64-pc-win32-elf') __try/__except block doesn't work - the stack can not be unwound. I have found that the only way to fix it is implementing my own *registerEHFrames* function of the Memory Manager (but I'm not sure this helps). Maybe someone had a success solving

How to install TEST_FRAMEWORK(E) ?
Hi, I've installed a brand new Asterisk 12.0.0 system in which I can see, with make menuselect, in Test Modules tab, that each test entry such as test_acl can't be installed due a to missing TEST_FRAMEWORK(E) dependency. Where this TEST_FRAMEWORK(E) comes from ? How can it be installed ? I've installed testsuite according

Which multi-platform client-side Python library implements AMI ?
Hi, Though ARI exists these days, is there any Python library implementing AMI that fulfil the following requirements : - client-side (may be installed on bax in which Asterisk is not running) - multi-platform (Linux, Windows) - take care of filtering various events to simplify operations such as login/logout, origination, - include some examples. [LLVMdev] Invalid RegNum error
I'm writing a compiler using LLVM, and suddenly today I started to get this error, when emitting to a .s file. Assertion failed: (I != M+Size && I->FromReg == RegNum && "Invalid RegNum"), function getLLVMRegNum, file MCRegisterInfo.cpp, line 78. I'm emitting using x86_64-apple-darwin. Any thoughts about what could be causing this? LLVM validation does not

Samba and cross forest domain trust
Hi I'm trying to get a setup working with 2 separate AD forests (both 2003 R2 based). Let's call them PROD.x.ch and DEV.x.ch. There is a one way cross forest trust from DEV to PROD (hope I said this the right way), so that authenticated principals in PROD can access resources from DEV. The setup works in principle, a user logged into a PROD Windows PC can access Shares from a DEV

a problem in random forest
Hi, there: I spent some time on this but I think I really cannot figure it out, maybe I missed something here: my data looks like this: > dim(trn3) [1] 7361 209 > dim(val3) [1] 7427 209 > mg.rf2<-randomForest(x=trn3[,1:208], y=trn3[,209], data=trn3, xtest=val3[, 1:208], ytest=val3[,209], importance=T) my test data has 7427 observations but after prediction, > dim(mg.rf2$votes)

cforest - keep.forest = false option?
Hi, I'm very new to R. I am most interested in the variable importance measures that result from randomForest, but many of my predictors are highly correlated. My first question is: 1. do highly correlated variables render variable importance measures in randomForest invalid? and 2. I know that cforest is robust to highly correlated variables, however, I do not have enough space on my
