winbind authentication for user FAILED with error NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD
Hello, I'm trying to authenticate to a Samba file server version 3.6.6 which is joined to a samba AD version 4.1.17. The problem is that I can't seem to login using smbclient -L //172.16.0.229/itdev -U shemgp tothe file server and the server displays the error: winbind authentication for user [shemgp] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD even if I use the correct password.

Google Apps Directory Sync Password Attribute
Hello, I'm trying to synchronize users with samba4 and Google apps using Google Apps Directory Sync. It's asking me to enter the user Password attribute. strange performance some times

Some times, all the users report me low performance when run an app shared on a public folder. The app is an access database. Domain Member Server Problem
I have a problem with a Member Server on Samba 3.0.28a running on Ubuntu Heady. Both systems were recently upgraded using Ubuntu's automated upgrade. It's also possible I broke a working configuration by accident. The shares on the Member server are visible on the XP clients and some users can authenticate properly. w2k + xp clients password change freezes the client
Hi. I've a problem changing the password of the domain user directly from the windows client by using strg+alt+del. WinXP not creating profile
I have just installed a new samba PDC following http://www.howtoforge.com/ubuntu-gutsy-samba-domaincontroller-p2 but my winXP clients don't save their profile. It is created a directory /home/samba/profiles/USER with permission 700 but no file is saved there. The computer I amb testing with was in the old samba PDC saving the profile with no problem, so I suppose is a samba problem. Any hint

access denied & Sid does not start with 'S-'.

Cannot join domain
Hello, I just configured a computer on my local network to work as a PDC with Samba, although I'm not able to join the Domain from the windows computer I want to add. I though it was that the server was unreachable, but I can ping the server from the computer and viceversa. If someone please can help me, I'll appreciate it. problem accessing home directory

change passwd from windows--more grief

XP clients disconnected during trasnfer of larger files to the samba server
i'm having an issue when transferring large files to the samba servers from an xp client - files about 1GB or larger. about 70% into the transfer i get a network share no longer exists error and the transfer fails. I can pull down from the server fine with no issues. The XP machines are authenticating from a different Samba server though the problem is with that machine as well. Error and

Can't get "getent passwd" to display winbind users
