Samba4, DHCP, & BIND DLZ
Hello, I have recently compiled, installed and configured samba4 to run on a FreeBSD server. samba -V reports the version to be Version 4.1.0pre1-GIT-57990cb. The server has working BIND 9.9 and ISC-DHCP services running on it. I have provisioned samba 4 to use the BIND_DLZ DNS backend. On the whole things seem to be working. local names are being resolved. phpLDAPAdmin shows the new

Maybe working - Re: BIND DLZ zone transfers
Hi Robert, yes it does work. But the DLZ bind will not notify any slaves, when the repository changes. This can be painful, especially for longer TTL values. Regards, - lars. Bi-directional sync for Sysvol folder -- Osync?
Hi, I was thinking about bidirectional sync of sysvol and i've a question: ?What about DRBD?. You can create a disk partition in every node, create a DRBD cluster and then mount that partition on sysvol folder. The sincronization is bidirectional and in real time. For now i've not tested this option, but i've plans to start some tests. What is your opinion about this? Greetings!!

Samba 4 Bind DNS on CentOS 7
Hi Brady, I realise that but the only named.conf to be found on the system is my newly created /etc/named.conf. Either something screwed up when installing the Sernet RPMs, which is really pretty unlikely given that everything else is working, or the file was not included in the package. regards, John On 21/08/15 10:16, Brady, Mike wrote: > On 2015-08-21 11:18, John Gardeniers wrote:

Hello all, Just to ask have anyone try osync before? https://github.com/deajan/osync And would you think that this will fix our issue on https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/SysVol_Bidirectional_Replication Where DC2 files or folder will be removed? Thank You.
