I'd find this kind of feature really useful too.
I'm pushing files, but I'm using --include and --exclude patterns to build the
list of files I want to transfer, in some cases avoiding directory recursion. --

ANNOUNCE: centos-release-xen to switch to newer xen
Greeting,
We are about to update the centos-release-xen package to point to a newer
version of Xen. That is 4.12 on CentOS 7 but only 4.10 on CentOS 6.
As a reminder, you can "pin" your installation to Xen 4.8 by installing
centos-release-xen-48 and then removing centos-release-xen.
Other available Xen version are:
centos-release-xen-48
centos-release-xen-410

[PATCH] Switch to utimensat for newer POSIX versions
Some libcs like uClibc-ng can optionally disable deprecated functions.
utime is one of them. When done so, both the header and the function go
missing.
This fixes flac_utime to work in such a situation.

Feature request: txtProgressBar with ability to write to arbitrary stream
Hi all,
I use txtProgressBar to monitor progress of large computations. What I
miss is the ability to redirect the progress bar to a stream other than
stdout, specifically to the message stream. This would be useful for
running Sweave scripts: When redirected to stderr, the bar could be
visible even though console output is diverted to the output file (and
there would be no cluttering of the

manual transfer switch to make UPS testing easier
In case this is helpful to anyone, here's what I did to make it easier
to test NUT and my UPS. My problem is that for testing I don't want my
system plugged into my UPS, so I can test UPS operations without
shutting down my system. But the rest of the time, I want to be
protected against power problems. My solution was to build a transfer
switch (just a DPDT switch in a box) that

Feature Request Creation date/time
Hello,
I use rsync to copy personal data to various different machines for backup purposes and enjoy the robustness of the copy process.
I was wondering if it was possible to add the option for rsync to copy the creation date and time as well as the modification time.
This is really just a request for 'completeness'. When copying personal files it's useful to know when the orginal

Feature Request: Ability to join a IPv4-Only DC, into a Dual-Stacked "Samba4 AC DC" PDC.
Hey guys!
To make the adoption of IPv6 networks with Samba4 more smooth / robust, I
think that it is vital to give to Samba4, the ability for it, to join a
IPv4-Only Secondary DC, into a Dual-Stacked Primary DC. This doesn't work
today.
Otherwise, these days to enable IPv6 within a "Samba4 AC DC" network, it is
a requirement to enable it, simultaneously, on each and every network

[PATCH v2 2/2] v2v: -i vmx: Enhance VMX support with ability to use ‘-it ssh’ transport.
This enhances the existing VMX input support allowing it to be
used over SSH to the ESXi server.
The original command (for local .vmx files) was:
$ virt-v2v -i vmx guest.vmx -o local -os /var/tmp
Adding ‘-it ssh’ and using an SSH remote path gives the new syntax:
$ virt-v2v \
-i vmx -it ssh \
"root@esxi.example.com:/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/guest/guest.vmx" \
-o local

Feature request for as.Date() function
Hello -
I have a csv file with a few date columns. Some of the records have an
"NA" character string instead of the date. When I attempt to use
read.csv() and typecast the columns using colClasses, I receive the
following error:
Error in charToDate(x) :
character string is not in a standard unambiguous format
Similarly, the following command produces the same error:

is f.submit in a form_for newer than submit_tag?
some books or even the rails api uses
form_for ...
...
submit_tag ...
end
and i found that the Rails 2.3.2 Scaffold uses
f.submit "Go"
instead... and this is not in the rails api doc. Is this a new
addition and is it suppose to replace submit_tag?
