BUG: Solr FTS engine appends domain name to index records
The Solr FTS engine appends domain names to the "user" and "id" fields inside Solr when indexing. However, when an IMAP search is performed, the domain name is not appended, resulting in 0 results, 100% of the time.
You can reproduce this by setting up dovecot to have user names like?"admin", "james", etc (as opposed to admin at example.com). Then import

FTS Solr = No search results for Body Search - (serious issue, please help)
Hi,
I have been trying to get FTS to work with dovecot.
When I search from my client (roundcube webmail) I am able to get
results for From, To and Subject fields expect Body on my Apache Solr
engine.
Could this be a schema related problem?
This is output for the Subject:

dovecot fts hangs on search
Hello
Could you plese
1. send the full output of doveconf -n
2. Check the SOLR logs for any errors
3. Describe your dovecot architecture, ie. if you are running a single backend or a more complex configuration.
4. Provide a backtrace of the core dump using the instructions on https://dovecot.org/bugreport.html

FTS solr issue with second private namespace
Hi all,
I have just stumbled over an issue with the FTS plugin of dovecot.
For our primary namespace, INBOX and its subfolders, searching works
without any problems but in a second namespace, which I have created
for old/archived mails, searching of the mail text/body does not work.
I can see the search request in the tomcat log but no result is created
and the mail client (Thunderbird) keeps

dovecot fts hangs on search
Hello,
I am trying to use Doevecot fts, with solr the script provided.
To rebuild the index, I use the command:
doveadm -D index -u mirina 'inbox'
To rescan, I use: doveadm -D fts rescan -u mirina
But when I do a search, with doveadm, the program hangs:
doveadm -D search -u mirina text Madagascar

Missing hits when performing full-text searches
Hi,
we're running Dovecot 2.1.7 together with Solr for efficient fulltext search.
A couple of days ago we reinstalled our Solr server on a new machine. After
adjusting our Dovecot setup to use the new server, it took a few days to
notice that something seems fishy about our full-text search: expected hits
wouldn't be shown among the search results.
For instance, one of the folders (a

FTS solr issue.
Hello Dovecot admins,
I seem to have a problem ever since recent upgrades to dovecot. The solr
engine complains about some variable not being long. Although it does not
say which variable. I havve updated the solr-schema.xml file from current
dovecot install 2.2.15 !
Any ideas would be very helpful

fts-solr indexer-worker connects to wrong solr host dovecot-2.2.4
Hello.
We're setting up fts solr and want to have the solr server host be set per-user via UserDB.
It looks like if a user connects and fts indexes mail, and then another user connects and indexes mail, indexer-worker is connecting to the first user's fts host:
User1, hammer at rp-auth-test.com connects, does a SEARCH for the first time, indexer-worker gets UserDB settings and

[PATCH] Indexing mail attachments with Dovecot + Solr
Indexing mail attachments with Dovecot + Solr.
This patch has been tested with these versions:
* dovecot 2.0.9
* apache-solr 1.4.1
This is a patch for the fts-solr plugin (that indexes mail messages
for Dovecot with Solr). In main stream, the plugin does not index
attachments; With this patch, you can index mails and their

Segfault with indexer-worker using Tika/Solr
Using Dovecot 2.2.13 with Tika 1.5 on Centos 5 64bit
Tika is throwing an exception for some reason, which seems to be causing Dovecot's indexer to segfault. I'm using mdbox/gzipped compressed mail and private indexes for the shared folder. I'm importing mail via formail/dovecot-lda:
formail -s /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d admin -m Public/TestSubFolder? < /tmp/Inbox.mbox
