SMP Proliants and Smart2 Array controllers. (Was: Proliant on a 6500)
I've included all posts till now. Can I ask anyone with older proliant multi-cpu hardware using the smart2 controllers to get in touch with me? I am curious to know if this works for anyone... -D Quoting Danny Carroll <fbsd@dannysplace.net>: > Still more info... > It does not work on 5_0-RELEASE either. > > -D > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Danny

Sorry to reply to myself, but I wanted to expand this to -stable and add some more info... See the original post at the bottom of this msg. I just took the Smart 2/P and put it in slot1 (one of the shared Eisa/PCI slots.) Now the Dmesg output shows the "SMP: AP CPU" lines in a different order... They were: SMP: AP CPU# 3 Launched! SMP: AP CPU# 1 Launched! SMP: AP CPU# 2 Launched! now

"maildir_empty_new = yes" not working
I need for my dovecot-uidlist to be updated with next id when new email arrives (moved from new/ to cur/). This only happens now when I check for new email with my client. Setting maildir_empty_new = yes is not working. Do I have to uncomment something else as well maybe? I want to do some proemial pipe lets say for 10 emails. All of them will have same UID since dovecot-uidlist is not updated.

how to configure a FreeBSD firewall to pass IPSec?
I have a FreeBSD box acting as a firewall and NAT gateway I would like to set it up to transparently pass IPSec packets -- I have an IPSec VPN client running on another machine, connecting to a remote network. Is there a way to do this? I can't find any hints in the man pages.

Using a Sieve script to handle delivery to public mailboxes
Hello everyone, I'm setting up a Postfix+Dovecot stack with virtual domains and public mailboxes. I set up a shared mailbox "office at mydomain.com" as described in the Dovecot Wiki [1], that is: - I created the directory "/var/mail/mydomain.com/public/" and inside it I created the ".office" mailbox; - I added an appropriate ACL to allow the account

v2.2.13.rc1 vs. Pigeonhole
Server: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32bit There seems to be an incompatibility when compiling Pigeonhole against Dovecot v2.2.13.rc1. # make check with Pigeonhole throws up the following error message: <snip> Test case: ./tests/extensions/editheader/addheader.svtest: 1: Test 'Addheader - first' SUCCEEDED 2: Test 'Addheader - last' SUCCEEDED 3: Test 'Addheader - framed'

shared folder name or public folder with mail address
Hello! we are about to move from cyrus to dovecot and have one open issue for that migration. With cyrus we have "shared/" folders with a name that is self defined like shared/project-xyz but the email address for direct delivery to that folder my be different (not project-xyz at domain.com). With dovecot we try to have it similar (at least how the user sees it in the client) like it

dsync mirror does not maintain changes between mailboxes
Hi, running: dsync -D -v -o mail_fsync=never mirror -R -f -u user at domain imapc: Where "domain" is a cyrus imap server does not do what the documentation says it does, not even close. After the first run to an empty mailbox on the dovecot 2.2.13 server all the mails (1.1GB) seem to be correctly synced. I send a test email to the dovecot server and it shows up correctly. Second

Released Pigeonhole v0.4.3 for Dovecot v2.2.13.
Hello Dovecot users, Now that Dovecot v2.2.13 is released, I can release a new Pigeonhole. Due to changes in Dovecot, this Pigeonhole release will not compile cleanly against older Dovecot releases. This release is mainly about bugfixes. One notable addition is that I have updated the "vnd.dovecot.duplicate" extension to the new IETF draft "duplicate" extension. Changelog

PublicFolders using Maildir and INDEXPVT in Dovecot v2.2.13
Dear all, we have succesfully configured Dovecot v2.2.13 in debian wheezy 7.8 (using backports) using Maildir structure, to use private index files for the \Seen flag on a per user basis. All users access their emails and Public Folders using IMAP protocol. The problem is that when a user moves an email from publicFolderA to publicFolderB under the same namespace the other users see this
